7/6 – 7/24: Campus Parking Lots Closing for Planned Maintenance

Transportation Services will be conducting planned summer maintenance work on parking lots across campus starting Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 24. Lots will be closing and reopening in phases.

ALL vehicles must be removed from these lots prior to the closure start date (see schedule and map below).

6/26 – 6/29: SW Washington Way Closed from SW 15th – 26th St.

Contractors for Union Pacific Railroad will be working on the railroad crossing at SW 17th St. and SW Washington Way starting Friday, June 26 through Monday, June 29. The intersection at SW 17th St. will be closed to traffic in all directions and Washington Way will be closed between SW 15th and SW 26th St. Parking lot access from SW 17th St. will remain open.

 Pedestrian crossings on Washington Way between SW 15th – 26th St. will be closed.

SW 26th St./Washington Way Intersection Closed Through 6/23

Contractors for Union Pacific Railroad will be working on the railroad crossing at SW 26th St. and Washington Way through Tuesday, June 23. The intersection will be closed to through traffic in all directions and Washington Way will be closed between SW 30th and SW 17th St. Local access to the parking lot at the tennis courts will be permitted. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

6/23 – Valley Library Fire Lane Closure & Crane Activity

Due to work on the heating system at Valley Library, the fire lane, staircase and sidewalks between Valley Library and Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center will be closed on Tuesday, June 23. A crane will be working between the two buildings. The ramp leading to Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center will remain open.

6/23 – 6/25: Bloss Hall Crane Activity, Sidewalk Closure

Due to work happening at Bloss Hall, a crane will be working in the alley between Bloss Hall and Arnold Dining Center starting Tuesday, June 23 through Thursday, June 25. Sidewalks between the two buildings will be closed.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work area.

6/26 & 7/26: Campus Wide Generator Testing

Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators.  Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing.  Each generator will be refueled after testing.

6/16 – 8/27: Softball Complex Parking Lot Closed for Summer Construction

Due to construction on the Field Sports Building project, the majority of parking spaces within the Softball Complex lot (3286 Sports Complex West Lot) will be closed starting Tuesday, June 16 through Thursday, August 27. The parking lot will not be fully closed and parking spaces around the south and west perimeter of the lot will remain open.

6/15 – 9/15: Summer Sidewalk Closures at Weatherford Hall

Due to renovation work happening at Weatherford Hall, sections of the sidewalk on the south (Intramural Lane), west (Weatherford Place) and north (Jefferson Way) sides of the building will be closed starting June 15 and continuing throughout the summer. The closed sections will be immediately adjacent to the building. All other sidewalks in the area will remain open.
