Due to railroad crossing work conducted by Union Pacific, two longer-term closures will occur along Washington Way at the intersections of SW 26th and SW 30th St. These closures will begin the week of August 24 and be in effect through mid-September. The intersections will be closed in all directions. No through traffic will be permitted. Please see schedule below.

  • 8/24 – 9/11: intersection at Washington Way and SW 26th St. closed in all directions. NO through traffic permitted
  • 8/28 – 9/17: intersection at Washington Way and SW 30th St. closed in all directions. NO through traffic permitted.

Pedestrian crossings and sidewalks in the area may be temporarily restricted. Please follow detour signage.

All closures will be in effect 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The intersections will reopen for nights and weekends. Other impacts may include noise and dust near the work zones.

Please note: these closures will be overlapping starting on 8/28, meaning that the SW 26th St. and SW 30th St. intersections will be closed simultaneously. Please plan to utilize SW 15th St. or SW 35th St. as a north-south detour. A third closure will occur at SW 17th St. starting in early September. A separate notification will sent prior to that start date.

The city of Corvallis and Union Pacific are planning a project which will impact the railroad crossing at SW 11th St.

SW 11th St. will be closed from the railroad tracks north to SW Washington Ave. starting on Monday, August 10 through Monday, August 24.

Access to the OSU residential parking lots on either side of SW 11th will be available from Washington Ave.

Due to work occurring at the mid-block railroad crossing, SW Washington Way between SW 30th and SW 35th St. will be closed to thru traffic starting Friday, July 10 – Tuesday, July 14. Local access to OSU facilities will be permitted. Pedestrian crossings and sidewalks near the railroad crossing may be temporarily restricted.

Other possibly impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work zone.

Due to a project led by Union Pacific Railroad, SW 13th St. will be closed from SW A Ave. north to SW Washington Ave, starting on Friday, July 10 through Monday, July 13. Local access to OSU Surplus/Property Services Building will be maintained. No traffic will be permitted to cross the railroad tracks on SW 13th St.

Contractors for Union Pacific Railroad will be working on the railroad crossing at SW 17th St. and SW Washington Way starting Friday, June 26 through Monday, June 29. The intersection at SW 17th St. will be closed to traffic in all directions and Washington Way will be closed between SW 15th and SW 26th St. Parking lot access from SW 17th St. will remain open.

Contractors for Union Pacific Railroad will be working on the railroad crossing at SW 26th St. and Washington Way through Tuesday, June 23. The intersection will be closed to through traffic in all directions and Washington Way will be closed between SW 30th and SW 17th St. Local access to the parking lot at the tennis courts will be permitted. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

Contractors for Union Pacific Railroad will be working on the railroad crossing at SW 30th St. and Washington Way over the weekend (5/30 – 5/31). No north-south vehicle traffic will be permitted through the area. Washington Way will remain open, but intermittent delays are possible. Sidewalks may be closed at times.
