3/21 – 3/29: Fairbanks Hall Parking Lot & Sidewalk Closure

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation project, the Fairbanks Hall West parking lot will be closed starting Thursday, March 21 through Friday, March 29 for gutter work on the building. All ADA parking spaces in the parking lot will be closed.

The sidewalks and walkways bordering Fairbanks Hall on all sides of the building will be closed in phases to allow for equipment to be maneuvered around the area. These closures will be intermittent. This includes the walkways on the north and west sides of Fairbanks Hall, the west sidewalk on 26th St.  and the north sidewalk on Jefferson Way.

Staff will be present in the area to help pedestrians navigate around the sidewalk closures. Pedestrians may use the east sidewalk on 26th St., the south sidewalk on Jefferson Way or the walkway west of the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center as alternate routes.

Access to the parking lot will be available for trash and recycling pickup.

Permanent Closure of Park Terrace Place Parking Lots (A2) Starting 3/18

As part of the Jen-Hsun & Lori Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, the Park Terrace St. East and Park Terrace St. West (A2) parking lots will be permanently closed, starting Monday, March 18. The impacted parking lots are located north of Johnson Hall and Plageman Student Health Center.

SW Park Terrace Place will also be permanently closed north of Plageman Student Health Center. Construction fencing will be placed around the area in preparation for further construction activity.

The map shows the Park Terrace St. East and Park Terrace St. West parking lots, bordering NW Monroe Ave. Both parking lots are marked as closed.

  • Weinger Hall East Lot – five ADA spaces
  • Memorial Place – Central Campus (west of People’s Park) – two ADA spaces
  • Bates Hall North Lot – four ADA spaces
  • N. 27th St., Arnold Way Lot – four ADA spaces

Pedestrian impacts

  • A section of the south sidewalk on Monroe Ave. between 26th St. and Memorial Place will be closed for the duration of the project.
    • Pedestrians may cross Monroe Ave. at 26th St. or Memorial Place and use the north sidewalk as a detour.
  • A section of the east sidewalk on 26th St. between Johnson Hall and the CEOAS Administration Building will be closed.
    • Pedestrians may use the west sidewalk and the crosswalk at the CEOAS Administration building as a detour.
  • The walkway between Johnson Hall and Plageman Student Health Center be closed.
  • The walkway south of the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center will be closed.
  • The walkway north of Johnson Hall will be closed.

12/20-12/22: Multiple Parking Lot Closures for Leaf Pick Up and Sweeping

Beginning next Wednesday, parking lots across campus will be temporarily closed for leaf clean-up and lost sweeping. The closures will occur between Wednesday, December 20 through Friday and December 22. Each lot will be reopened as the work is completed. Please contact Transportation Services at (541) 737-2583 if you require assistance with alternate parking arrangements.

UPDATE: Kerr South Parking Lot & Sidewalk Closure Extended Through January 8

This is an update to a previous closure.

As part of the Kerr Administration South Parking Lot Improvement project, the Kerr South parking lot closure has been extended through January 8 to complete construction and landscaping. This includes the closure of the west sidewalk. ADA access is available on the east side of the building.

The map shows the Kerr South parking lot and the walkway west of the Kerr Administration Building. Both areas are marked as closed.

11/21 & 11/22: Campus Wide Parking Lot Closures for Leaf Clean-up

Beginning next week, parking lots across campus will be temporarily closed for leaf clean-up. The closures will be divided between Tuesday, November 21 and Wednesday, November 22. Each lot will be reopened as the work is completed. Please contact Transportation Services at (541) 737-2583 if you require assistance with alternate parking arrangements.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work areas.

10/27: Kerr Admin Bldg. South Parking Lot Closure extended until 12/4

As part of the Kerr Administration South Parking Lot Improvement project, the Kerr South parking lot closure has been extended until December 4, 2023, to finish construction activities, including lighting installation, paving and striping. This includes the closure of the west sidewalk. ADA access is available on the east side of the building.

10/17 & 10/23: Partial Closure of Sackett Hall North Parking Lot

As part of the Nash Hall Cooling Tower Replacement project, the Sacket Hall North parking lot (#3303) will be partially closed on Tuesday, October 17 and Monday, October 23 to allow for crane activity. The closure will impact parking spaces on the east side of the lot, closest to Nash Hall. The south-west basement and south first floor entrances to Nash Hall will also be closed. The north-east entrance and the loading dock will remain open.

In addition, the walkway that runs along the west side of Nash Hall will also be closed. Pedestrians may detour around the area via walkways on the south, east and north sides of the building.

The map shows an aerial view of the Sackett Hall North parking lot. A section of parking spaces on the east side of the parking lot, closest to Nash Hall, are marked as closed. The walkway on the west side of Nash Hall is also marked as closed. A pedestrian detour is marked along the south, east and north sides of Nash Hall. Two entrances to the building on the south and south west sides are marked as closed. Access to the parking lot is shown from SW 30th St.

UPDATE: Parking Areas, Sidewalk and Basketball Courts at Student Legacy Park Closed Through October 12.

The Student Legacy Park fields and tennis courts have reopened, but other areas within the park will remain closed through October 12.

The parking areas and sidewalk on SW Washington Way will remain closed through October 12 along with the basketball courts.

While the entry points to the park along Washington Way will remain closed, access to the park will be available from SW 26th St., SW Intramural Lane and SW 30th St. ADA parking spaces will be available on 30th St., on 26th St. in front of Dixon Recreation Center and on Intramural Lane.

Extended through 9/18: Richardson & Dryden Hall parking lot closed for improvements

This is an update to a previous notification.

As part of the 2023 Parking Lot Improvement Program, the parking lot south of Richardson Hall and west of Dryden Hall (parking lot # 3341) will be closed for improvements through Monday, September 18. This closure includes access drives off SW 30th Street and SW Washington Way. These improvements will, at times, cause noise and dust.

Parking lots south of Richardson Hall and west of Dryden Hall are closed for improvements through September 18, 2023.
