As part of the Washington Way Improvement Project,  SW Washington Way will be closed daily between SW 26th and SW 17th Streets to begin water line replacement. Work will occur starting November 30, 2022 until January 6, 2023 from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. This portion of Washington Way will be reopen to vehicle traffic after 5 p.m. daily.

The sidewalk on the north side of Washington Way will also be closed, and an alternate pedestrian route will be identified with signage.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement Project,  SW Washington Way will have intermittent flagging operations at various locations throughout the days, one location at a time, to turn off water valves as part of the water line replacement. Water service to facilities will not be affected except for the previously announced shutdown at the Large Animal Resource Center. The locations of flagging operations will be the intersections of Washington Way and SW 35th, SW 26th and SW 17th Streets.

Work is scheduled to take place between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022.

Portions of Gleeson Hall have recently experienced a power outage due to a failed breaker panel. Currently, most fume hoods and the elevator are without power. At this time, there is no estimate for restoral. Fume hoods should not be used during this time, and sashes should remain down. Additional information will be sent out when it is available.

As part of the ALS Controls Upgrade Project, there will be an emergency repair to a steam coil in the ALS HVAC system. Airflow will lower in some spaces in the building, but steam service to the building will not be affected. Work is scheduled to take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022.

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation Project, the parking lot west of Fairbanks Hall and the bike racks north of Fairbanks Hall will be closed for storm drain work, which includes VacEx truck work.
