As part of the Dixon Recreation Center Pool System Replacement & HVAC Project, a crane will be placed in the Dixon East Parking Lot on Monday, June 5 from 6 A.M. to 12 P.M. The parking lot will remain open, but two ADA parking spaces and one loading zone space will be closed on the north side of the parking lot. Pedestrian access will be maintained along the sidewalk closest to Goss Stadium.

As part of the West Greenhouse Improvement Project, a section of the eastbound lane on SW Campus Way will be closed along with a section of the south sidewalk on Friday, May 5 from 7 AM to 4PM. The impacted section is located between SW 30th and SW 35th Streets in front of the Motor Pool West and National Forage Seed Center East parking lots. The parking lots will remain open. However, the east entrance to the NFSC East parking lot will be closed and multiple parking spaces will be unavailable.

Drivers should expect to see flaggers directing traffic around the closure. A pedestrian detour will be available along the north sidewalk.

As part of the Upper Division and Graduate Housing Project, sidewalks and city parking spaces will be closed along SW 11th St. and SW Madison Ave. This closure will remain in effect through December 2023. Sidewalks and parking spaces will be closed on the east side of SW 11th St. from NW Monroe Ave. to SW Madison Ave. Sidewalks and parking spaces will be closed on the westbound side of SW Madison Ave. from SW 9th St. to SW 11th St. Other possible impacts include noise near the construction site.

Effective Date(s): Saturday, March 25 through Monday, March 27

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation project, there will be a planned power outage from Saturday, March 25 through Monday, March 27. The new, permanent generator for the building will be installed during this time. Fairbanks Hall will be closed to the public during the outage.

Building power will be restored no later than end of day on Monday, March 27. 

Two Art Department reserved parking spaces will be unavailable during this power outage. Signs will be posted. Cars may be towed.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Saturday, March 25. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. The building will not have network connectivity during this power outage, i.e. no wireless, wired internet or VoIP phone connectivity. Anything that relies on the network will not be functional.

Employees scheduled to work when buildings are without power should consult with their supervisors regarding work schedules. For more information regarding work scheduling, please refer to the instructions regarding Interruptions of University Operations.

As part of the Rogers Hall fume hood replacement project, a crane will be placed in the Graf Hall parking lot to lift equipment onto the roof of Rogers Hall. The work is scheduled for Monday, March 13 from 6:30 – 9 a.m. Limited parking spaces will remain available.

As part of the Community Hall Slopes project, the walkway located on the south side of the Pharmacy Building will be closed for handrail installation from 2/27 – 3/10/23. The ADA parking spaces in the south Pharmacy/Furman parking lot will also be closed during this time. ADA access to buildings in the area will be maintained. Minor noise impacts are also possible.

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, the sidewalk on the north side of SW A Avenue will be closed between 15th and 16th Streets. Three city parking spaces in front of the Pride Center will also be closed. The crosswalk and south sidewalk will remain open to pedestrians. Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the construction site.

As part of the Community Hall Slope project, the walkway on the south side of the Pharmacy building and the ADA parking spots in the south Pharmacy/Furman parking lot will be closed to allow for handrail installation. Garbage trucks will have access to the trash enclosure. Alternative pedestrian access will be available and ADA access to buildings will be maintained.

Other possible impacts include minor noise from drilling concrete.

For work related to the Withycombe Hall renovation project, a closure is scheduled for parking lot #3316 (Orchard Ave. South Lot), located just north of Withycombe Hall along Orchard Ave., to allow for a construction trailer move in. The closure is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
