Pacific Power is scheduling a power outage to make repairs to equipment at Gill Coliseum. The outage will be Wednesday December 27th beginning at 5:00 am with an estimated completion time of 7 am. Please see the list of impacted buildings below. These buildings will be closed to the public during the outage. Affected buildings: • Bloss Hall • Finley Hall • Arnold Dining Center • Dixon Recreation Center • Gill Coliseum What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to 12/27/23. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. The building will not have network connectivity during this power outage, i.e. no wireless, wired internet or VoIP phone connectivity. Anything that relies on the network will not be functional. As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the north side of the intersection at SW Washington Way and SW 26th Street will be closed from Monday, December 18 – Friday, December 29. A section of 26th St. will be closed between Washington Way and Dixon Recreation Center.
As part of the Student Legacy Park Resurfacing project, construction activity may create minor delays for pedestrians along the sidewalk west of Dixon Recreation Center. The work will take place on Friday, December 8 from 12 – 4 P.M. Several parking spaces on the east side of SW 26th St. will be taped off for equipment staging. Work crews will be moving between the fenced construction area around the sand volleyball courts and a cement mixer parked on 26th St. Impacts to pedestrians are expected to be minimal.
In addition, a second work site will be active along the south sidewalk on SW Intramural Lane, across from Poling Hall. Workers in the area will be pouring concrete near the basketball court. Impacts to pedestrians are expected to be minimal.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, SW Washington Way between SW 26th & SW 30th Streets will be closed through Tuesday, September 5. In addition, SW 26th St. will be closed between SW Ralph Miller Lane and SW Intramural Lane.
The south and west crosswalks at the intersection of 26th St. and Washington Way will remain open during this closure. The crosswalk on 26th St. at the OSU Beaver Store will also remain open.
A section of the east sidewalk on 26th St., near Dixon Recreation Center, will be closed. Pedestrians may use the west sidewalk, across from Dixon, to detour around the work site. The crosswalk on 26th St. at the entrance to Dixon will also remain open.

This is an update to a previous notification for a closure on SW 26th Street near Dixon Recreation Center. The road and west sidewalk closure will remain in place. The new pedestrian detour will be along the sidewalk that runs between the Coliseum Substation and the sand volleyball courts, just south of Dixon Recreation Center. Signs will be placed at the sidewalk endpoints on 26th Street and Washington Way to direct pedestrian traffic. The closures and pedestrian detour will remain in effect through July 3.

As part of the Dixon Recreation Center Pool System Replacement & HVAC Project, a crane will be placed in the Dixon East Parking Lot on Monday, June 5 from 6 A.M. to 12 P.M. The parking lot will remain open, but two ADA parking spaces and one loading zone space will be closed on the north side of the parking lot. Pedestrian access will be maintained along the sidewalk closest to Goss Stadium.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement Project, water service to Dixon Recreation Center will be turned off to allow the replacement of a water valve in Washington Way. Dixon Rec Center will open at 3 pm to allow for this replacement work.
