6/16 – 6/20: SW 35th St./Western Blvd. Work Update

This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis. Work is expected to continue through September 2025. Impacts for the week of June 16 – 20th

  • Work will resume on Western Blvd. and SW 35th St.
  • Sidewalk/ADA ramp work will occur at the following intersections for approximately the next two weeks.
    • SW Deon Dr./Western Blvd.
    • SW Ivy Place/Western Blvd.
    • SW Sagebrush Dr./SW 35th St.
  • Western Blvd. and SW 35th St. will remain open to traffic. Traffic will be limited to a single lane at times.

Other impacts

  • Bicyclists may be directed to the roadway if bike lane closures are needed.
  • Sidewalks may be unavailable at various times in these areas and pedestrians will be directed to detour.
  • Access to local driveways will be maintained.

4/14 – 4/18: SW 35th St./Western Blvd. Work Update

Impacts for the week of April 14th – 18th

  • Traffic on Western Blvd. between West Hills Rd. and SW 35th St. will be limited to a single lane and controlled by flaggers. All lanes will reopen at the end of each workday.
  • The signal at SW 35th St. and Western Blvd. will be shut down and become a four-way stop. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic. The intersection will remain open in all directions. The signal will be restored at the end of each workday.
  • Bike lanes will be closed and bikes will ride with traffic.
  • The sidewalk on the north side of Western Blvd. will be closed. Pedestrians traveling on Western Blvd. between 30th and 35th St. may detour around the area using the south sidewalk.
  • Access to local driveways will be maintained and signage will be posted to keep the Western Building driveways clear while the intersection signal is shut down.

Please note: a full closure of the SW 35th St./Western Blvd. intersection is scheduled to start on April 28th. Details regarding this closure will be available in the next update.

3/24 – 3/28: Signal Shutdown & Traffic Changes at Western Blvd. & 35th St.

This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis. Work is expected to continue through September 2025. Typical work hours for this project will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.   

Impacts for the week of March 24th – 28th 

  • Road work will begin on SW Western Blvd. between SW 35th St. and SW Hanson St.
  • The signal at Western and SW 35th St. will be shut down and transition to a four-way stop during work hours.
  • East and west lanes will remain open for vehicles.
  • Bicycle lanes in this section of Western Blvd. will be closed and bikes will travel in the vehicle lanes.
  • Sidewalks will remain open.
  • Access to driveways will be maintained.
