The water line replacement project led by the city of Corvallis will continue June 30-July 3, 2025 on SW 35th St. and Western Blvd. No road or intersection closures are expected. Please see potential impacts below.

  • Sidewalk ADA ramp work will continue at the following intersections:
    • SW Deon Dr. & Western Blvd.
    • SW Sagebrush Dr. & SW 35th St.
    • SW 35th St. & Western Blvd
  • Flaggers will be controlling traffic at the 35th St./Western Blvd. intersection at times.
  • Lane closures may occur to accommodate the work zones.
  • Bike lanes may be closed and bicyclists will be directed to ride with traffic.
  • Pedestrians may be detoured at times to avoid work zones.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, a section of SW Washington Way will be closed between SW 15th and SW 26th St. starting Monday, June 30 – Tuesday, July 1. The intersections at SW 17th St. and SW Benton Place will be closed. The closure is necessary to complete pavement striping work in the area.

The crosswalks at Benton Place and SW 17th St. will be closed. The crosswalk at SW 15th St. and the mid-block crossing between Goss Stadium and Dixon Recreation Center will be available. The sidewalks on the north and south sides of Washington Way will remain open.

The building air fans will be shut down one at a time to perform preventive maintenance and change air filters in Ag. Life & Sciences July 2, 2025 5:30 am – 11:00 am. Building occupants may notice slight pressure & air flow changes throughout the building.

A vacuum truck will be operating near Gilkey Hall as part of a project to install a new water main. This project will begin Monday, June 23 and continue through Tuesday, July 15. This will increase construction noise around Gilkey Hall and the surrounding area.

As part of construction activity at Fairbanks Hall, the walkway on the west side of the building will be closed starting on Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 20. A small section of the parking lot will also be closed. The west porch entry to Fairbanks Hall will be closed. The west side ADA ramp and west basement doors will remain open along with the main entrance on the east side of the building.

As part of construction activity at Weatherford Hall, the north street lane and north sidewalk on SW Intramural Lane will be closed starting on Monday, June 16 through Friday, September 12. A section of the sidewalk on the south side of Intramural Lane, bordering Student Legacy Park, will be closed for construction staging. The west sidewalk along SW 26th St. will also be closed. Construction fencing will be in place around Weatherford Hall while work continues over the summer.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work area.

    • SW Sagebrush Dr./SW 35th St.
  • Western Blvd. and SW 35th St. will remain open to traffic. Traffic will be limited to a single lane at times.

Other impacts

  • Bicyclists may be directed to the roadway if bike lane closures are needed.
  • Sidewalks may be unavailable at various times in these areas and pedestrians will be directed to detour.
