Due to the pruning of trees by a contractor, north and south bound 30th Street between Washington Way and Western Blvd. (see map) will be closed at Oak Creek Bridge Tuesday September 8, 2026 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Local traffic can access buildings from either the north or south of the bridge depending on location of the building. The road will be closed at the bridge. Sidewalk on the south bound lane of bridge will be closed.

The north lane on SW 30th St. near the Oak Creek Bridge will be closed on Friday, July 10. The east sidewalk in this section will also be closed. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the area.

Contractors for the city of Corvallis will be returning to SW 35th St. and Western Blvd. to complete pavement markings and lane striping on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7. This work will require frequent changes in traffic patterns such as lane closures, changes to parking lot access, etc. The fresh paint will require 10-15 minutes to cure in each area before traffic will be allowed to drive over it.

Access to the Western Building and UHDS parking lots may be limited to a single entry/exit point at times while paint is curing.

Please be prepared for changing travel routes in area around West Hills Rd./Western Blvd./SW 35th St. and follow detour signage and flagger directions.

CTS and Beaver Bus routes may be detoured, please check schedules.

This does not affect the ADA path of travel.

The city of Corvallis is currently conducting a waterline replacement project on SW 35th St. and SW Western Blvd. During the week of Nov. 17 – Nov. 21, concrete and pavement work will be occurring near the intersection of SW 35th St. and Western Blvd. and in various other locations bordering the OSU campus. In addition, work conducted by NW Natural may be impacting traffic at SW 35th St. and Western Blvd.

All streets are scheduled to remain open, but drivers should be prepared to encounter lane closures and traffic pattern changes along SW 35th St. and Western Blvd.

Bikes may be directed to ride with traffic at times and pedestrians should follow signage regarding detours.

The west sidewalk on SW 15th St. will be closed between SW Jefferson Way and SW Washington Ave. starting Monday, August 18 through Monday, September 1. The closure is necessary to accommodate electrical trenching work happening in the area.

There will be occasional lane closures and traffic pattern shifts in this section of SW 15th St., but the street will remain open for vehicles.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work area.

Planned projects for the week of July 21 – 25

  • Sidewalk ADA ramp work will continue at SW 15th St. and Western Blvd.
  • Electrical work will occur at the SW 15th St./Western Blvd. traffic signal mid-week. See notes below for Wednesday, July 23.  

Traffic & travel impacts

  • Both SW 35th St. and Western Blvd. will remain open to vehicle traffic.
    • Lane shifts/closures will be in place to create work zones on Western Blvd.
  • Wednesday, July 23: traffic signal at SW 15th St./Western Blvd. will shut down and become a 4-way stop. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Temporary stop signs will be in place.  
  • Changes to city bus stops will be in effect.
  • Sidewalks may be unavailable at various times in this area and pedestrians will be directed to detour.
