Scheduled: Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Testing

Effective Date(s): August 7th-August 11th, 2023

Convergint will be conducting annual fire alarm & sprinkler testing.  Testing will take place in the buildings listed below.  The testing will be brief and include both sounding of alarms and strobes. As part of the testing building occupants may notice occasional beeping coming from the fire panel and horns and strobe lights activating throughout the building.  Signage will be posted on exterior doors while testing is being conducted.

As part of the Summer 2023 Parking Lot Renewal project, the three parking lots surrounding Reser Stadium will be closed in phases, starting on Monday, July 24 and ending on Tuesday, August 1.  See schedule and map below.

7/24 – 7/25: partial closures of the Valley Football Center Lot (SW section near Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center) and the LaSells Stewart Center West Lot (eastern edge bordering SW 26th St.)

7/26 – 7/28: Valley Football Center Lot closed (between SW 30th St. and SW Ralph Miller Lane, west of the stadium)

7/28 – 8/1: Reser Stadium Lot and the western half of the LaSells Stewart Center West Lot closed (section between the stadium and SW Western Blvd)

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work sites.

Wednesday, July 19 – Valley Football Center Lot (NW section between SW 30th St. and SW Ralph Miller Lane)

Thursday, July 20 – Reser Stadium Lot (south section bordering SW Western Blvd.)

Friday, July 21 – LaSells Stewart West Lot (section SE of the stadium between SW Western Blvd. and SW 26th St.)

Saturday, July 22 – Valley Football Center Lot (west section in front of Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center)

As part of the Completing Reser Stadium project, a section of SW Ralph Miller Lane, located directly in front of the P. Wayne Valley Sports Performance Center, will be closed on Wednesday, July 5 from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M for crane activity.

The south sidewalk within the impacted section of Ralph Miller Lane will also be closed. The north sidewalk will remain open.  

The map shows a road and sidewalk closure on SW Ralph Miller Lane, directly in front of the P. Wayne Valley Sports Performance Center. The south sidewalk in the impacted section of Ralph Miller Lane is also marked as closed.

As part of the Completing Reser Stadium Project, flaggers will be present on SW 26th St. just south of the LaSells Stewart Center on Friday, June 2 from 12 – 4 P.M. Workers will be removing temporary pavement markings in the area. The street will remain open to all traffic, but minor delays should be expected.

Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators.  Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing.  Each generator will be refueled after testing.

For work related to the Completing Reser Stadium project, the temporary closure of 13 parking spaces just west of the Valley Football Center (Lot #3284) will allow for paving work to take place. The temporary parking closure is scheduled from 8 a.m.-5p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2022.

For work related to the Completing Reser Stadium project, the South Reser parking lot entrance/exit to SW 26th Street will be temporarily moved to the south to allow for construction of the new wellness center. Both entrance and exit will be limited to one lane with a detour in place once in the parking lot. The existing crosswalk will be closed and a new temporary crosswalk will be added across SW 26th Street. Additional pedestrian crossings will be added in the parking lot to ensure safe crossing around the construction site. Five ADA spaces have been temporarily relocated to the adjacent drive aisle. The parking lot and crosswalk modifications are scheduled to start on Monday, February 14, 2022 through Sunday, January 1, 2023.
