As part of the Student Legacy Park Resurfacing project, a pick-up truck and trailer will temporarily block the northbound lane on SW Benton Place, directly in front of the McAlexander Fieldhouse main entrance, on Friday, July 7 for various short intervals throughout the day. The truck will be picking up materials from McAlexander Fieldhouse and each pick-up will take approximately 30 minutes for loading. No parking impacts are expected. The south sidewalk along Benton Place and the crosswalk in front of McAlexander Fieldhouse will remain open for pedestrians. The southbound lane will remain open for vehicles.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the chilled water cooling system will be temporarily shut down in Kelley Engineering Center and Johnson Hall on Thursday, July 6 from 5 A.M. to 1 P.M to allow for piping work. The chilled water system controls the air conditioning in the impacted buildings.

The buildings will experience higher than normal temperatures, but the server rooms will not be impacted by this shutdown. ADA access will be maintained during this project.

Other possible impacts include noise and dust near the work site.

As part of the Completing Reser Stadium project, a section of SW Ralph Miller Lane, located directly in front of the P. Wayne Valley Sports Performance Center, will be closed on Wednesday, July 5 from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M for crane activity.

The south sidewalk within the impacted section of Ralph Miller Lane will also be closed. The north sidewalk will remain open.

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation project, the north sidewalk on SW Campus Way between the East Greenhouses and SW 30th St. will be closed to pedestrian traffic from June 30, 2023 through August 31, 2024. Pedestrians may detour across Campus Way at the crosswalk located directly in front of the East Greenhouses or at the intersection with 30th St. and use the south sidewalk.

As part of the LaSells Stewart Center Mechanical & Roof Renewal Project, a section of SW Stadium Ave. located directly behind LaSells Stewart Center and just south of Bloss Hall will be closed to allow for crane activity on Wednesday, June 28 from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. The B2 parking lot east of the LaSells Stewart Center will also be closed.

The entrance to SW Stadium Ave. from SW Western Blvd. will be closed. Both the east and west sidewalks on Stadium Ave. directly behind the LaSells Stewart Center will be closed. A vehicle detour will be available from Western Blvd. along the east and north side of the Bloss Hall South parking lot.

As part of the ALS Controls project, the chilled water cooling system will be temporarily shut down in the Agriculture & Life Sciences Building and Nash Hall on Wednesday, June 28 from 6 A.M. to 12 P.M to allow for piping and sensor installation. The chilled water system controls the air conditioning in the impacted buildings. Building temperatures will be slightly warmer during the outage, but the difference will be minimal. Walk-ins, server rooms and environmental chambers will not be impacted by this shutdown.
