Construction zones will be set up in several locations around campus for sewer work. The work will be ongoing through Friday, September 13. No closures of roads or sidewalks are expected, but pedestrians should be aware that some sidewalks may be partially obstructed. Safe pathways around the work zones will be available at all times. See below for locations.

Road striping and repainting of vehicle lanes, bike lanes, crosswalks and other areas will occur in multiple locations across campus starting at 7 P.M. on Friday, September 6 and continuing overnight until 7 A.M. on Saturday, September 7. See below for a list of impacted areas.

  • SW Jefferson Way – SW 15th to SW 35th St.
  • SW 30th St. – NW Orchard Ave to SW Washington Way (north & southbound lanes)
  • SW 15th St. – SW Jefferson Way to NW Monroe Ave.
  • SW 26th St. – SW Jefferson Way to SW Washington Way

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation project, there will be a planned power outage at Cordley Hall East on Thursday, September 12 from 7 A.M. to 4 P.M., to allow power to be connected at Withycombe Hall.

All floors in Cordley Hall East will be impacted by this outage.

Emergency generator power will be available during this outage, but any systems not connected to generator power will be shut down.

Airflow to Cordley Hall East will also be impacted by this outage. Fume hoods should not be used during this outage unless prior coordination and approval from Environmental Health and Safety is obtained.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? 
Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Thursday, September 12. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the multi-use path on the south side of SW Washington Way, between SW 15th and SW 17th St., will be closed on Thursday, September 5 from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work site.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, SW Campus Way between SW 26th St. and SW Memorial Place will be closed starting Tuesday, September 3 through Friday, September 20.  The closure is necessary to allow for crane activity related to the project.

The Kelley Engineering Center south entrance will also be closed.

The north sidewalk and both bicycle lanes in this section of Campus Way will be closed during this time period. The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians. A bicycle detour will be provided.
