Power will be shut down to Gleeson Hall on Saturday, December 10th from 6 am -9 am to make permanent repairs to a failed breaker panel. Fume hoods should not be used during this time, and sashes should remain down.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement Project, SW Washington Way will be closed daily between SW 26th and SW 17th Streets to begin water line replacement. Work will occur starting November 30, 2022 until January 6, 2023 from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. This portion of Washington Way will be reopen to vehicle traffic after 5 p.m. daily.
The sidewalk on the north side of Washington Way will also be closed, and an alternate pedestrian route will be identified with signage.

As part of the ALS Controls Upgrade Project, there will be an emergency repair to a steam coil in the ALS HVAC system. Airflow will lower in some spaces in the building, but steam service to the building will not be affected. Work is scheduled to take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022.

11/10/22 @ 11:15am Operation to the freight elevator has been restored.
The freight elevator at Linus Pauling Science Center is currently shut down for emergency repairs. A restoral date is unknown at this time, replacement parts are on order. Updates will be provided when they are available. For questions contact Facilities Services at 737-2969.
Portions of OSU’s Corvallis Campus may have recently experienced a power bump. Pacific Power is investigating the cause and Facilities Services is checking building systems for any issues.
If you have areas without power or if there are issues with generators or backup power, please call Public Safety 541-737-3010 to dispatch the Facilities on-call.
As part of work being done at Valley Football Center, Ralph Miller Lane will be closed between Protho Field and Valley Football Center to allow a crane to move equipment to VFC. Work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct 3. The sidewalk on the Protho field side of the street will remain open to pedestrians.

For work related to the Cordley Hall Renovation Project, stand-by generator testing will take place on Cordley Hall’s west side. The testing will cause AC power interruptions and impact the building’s primary power. Testing is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to the start of the scheduled stand-by generator testing. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.
The Richardson Hall chiller and chilled water system will be shut down immediately for emergency repairs. Building occupants will notice warmer than normal air temperatures during this time. This will not affect temperatures in the server rooms. Estimated restoral date is August 25th.

RO/DI water will be shut down to Richardson Hall starting August 22th through August 26th to allow installation of a new RO/DI water system. During this week the old system will be removed and replaced and new electrical and plumbing connections will be made.

Scheduled: Agricultural & Life Sciences Bldg. – Generator Transfer Switch Testing
Effective Date(s): August 10, 2022, 6:30 am – 7:30 am.
To ensure recent repairs to the transfer switch were successful, power to all 208 and 120v red emergency outlets will be briefly interrupted for testing on August 10, 2022. Power interruptions should only occur when the switch is turned on and then turned off a short amount of time later.
