Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators.  Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing.  Each generator will be refueled after testing.

For work related to the Community Hall Slope Project, a planned power outage is scheduled for Joyce Collin Furman Hall. The planned power outage is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022

For work related to the Owen Hall water leak and elevator renovation project, a planned one-hour shutdown to the domestic waste line in Owen Hall’s east wing is scheduled for 6-7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. The domestic waste line shutdown will temporarily impact all restrooms in levels 1-4 and all sinks & labs on levels 1-4 in the east wing of the building. Work will occur to tie a new sump pump in the elevator shaft.

For work related to the Owen Hall classroom improvements and elevator update project, a planned elevator shutdown is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 through Friday, September 9, 2022. The elevator shutdown includes all floors in the building.

One of the Linus Pauling Science Center building supply fans will be shut down to replace several failed fan motors. Building occupants may notice some air pressure fluctuations, fume hoods will remain operational.

For work related to the Milam Hall Re-roof project, SW Campus Way at the 26^th Street intersection is scheduled to be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. There will be construction activity occurring in the area.

For work related to the Gladys Valley Sprinkler & Light Replacement, a planned fire sprinkler shutdown at the Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center is scheduled to start at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022 through 5 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022.

Due to a mechanical failure the chiller that provides cooling to the Hallie E. Ford Center will have decreased cooling capacity. Building occupants may notice warmer than normal air temperatures in the building. A restoral date is unknown at this time due to parts availability.

As part of the Cascade Hall exterior stair replacement project, crane work to remove exterior stairs on the south side of Cascade Hall will occur from Monday, July 11, 20022 through Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Parking in this area will be closed while work takes place. The exterior stairs to the second floor of the building will be closed until Monday, August 1, 2022.
