The industrial water will be shut down in Wiegand Hall February 7, 2026 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm to tie in new waterlines to the existing system. This will affect the industrial water in labs and equipment attached to the industrial water. This will not affect restrooms.

As part of the steam line repair happening near Sackett Hall, paving work will be occurring on SW Jefferson Way on Friday, February 6. SW Jefferson Way will remain open, but traffic will be controlled by flaggers and drivers should expect delays. The work zone will be located at the intersection of SW Jefferson Way and SW Sackett Place, between Sackett Hall and Austin Hall.
The north sidewalk on Jefferson Way will be intermittently closed. The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.
Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work zone.

The steam will be shut down in Moreland Hall February 3, 2026 for emergency maintenance. This will affect all the radiators in the building. A second notice will be sent out when services have been restored.

A planned power outage is scheduled at Withycombe Hall on Wednesday, January 28 from 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. The building will be closed until 7:30 a.m. All building floors will be impacted. Equipment connected to emergency power will be running on generators.
What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please ensure that all electronic devices not connected to emergency power are powered down and that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Wednesday, January 28. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.

Heating water will be shut down to James E. Oldfield Animal Teaching Facility on January 27th from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. to perform preventive maintenance on the heating water system. Building occupants might experience slightly lower than normal temperatures during this time.
