Power will be shut down by Pacific Power in Gilbert Hall, Graf Hall and the Dearborn Motor Lab March 27, 2025, from 5:00 pm through March 28 at 5:00 am for the installation of new power poles and service along Monroe Avenue in support of the HCIC project. This will affect power building wide in Gilbert and Graf Halls and the Motor Lab area only in Dearborn. Gilbert and Graf will remain closed for the duration of the outage. Please remind building occupants to close fume hood sashes before leaving on Thursday, March 27th.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage?

Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to March 27th at 5pm. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. Please ensure that all fume hoods are closed before leaving the labs.

The domestic hot water will be shut down in Crop Science Building March 21, 2025 from 10:00 am to March 22, 2025 5:00 pm to tie in hot water line to new heat exchanger and tie in steam service to new heat exchanger. This will affect the building heat and domestic hot water in restrooms, breakrooms & custodial closets.

EH&S has asked us to remind building occupants thatwater will not be available to emergency eyewash/shower units, and occupants should discontinue all hazardous substance use (chemicals, unsealed radioisotopes, and biohazardous materials) for the duration of the shutdown

Due to construction and roofing work happening at Dixon Recreation Center, the ADA accessible path that runs along the north and east sides of Dixon will be closed starting on Monday, March 24 through Friday, October 10.

The east entrance to Dixon Rec Center will be closed.

Bike parking on the east side of Dixon will be closed for the duration of this project. All bikes must be removed from the bike racks before Monday, March 24. Any remaining bikes will be removed by the OSU Department of Public Safety.

The water and restrooms in Furman Hall will be shut down and closed in the entire building for emergency sewer repairs. This affects all toilets, sinks, drinking fountains and hot water heaters.  Portable toilets will be available on the west side of Furman Hall. A second notice will follow when services have been restored.

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation project, SW Campus Way will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for a crane pick. This closure will be in effect on Friday, February 21 from 8 a.m. to 5:30. The sidewalks on SW CampusWay will also be closed in this area; pedestrians may navigate around the south side of LPSC.
