12/11 – 1/6: Campus Way Closure Between 30th St. & ALS Building

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation project, SW Campus Way will be closed between SW 30th St. and the Agricultural & Life Sciences Building from Monday, December 11 through Saturday, January 6. Emergency access and pre-arranged access to the East Greenhouses will be maintained during this closure.

The north sidewalk in this section of Campus Way will be closed. The south sidewalk and the south side of the brick walkway near ALS will remain open for pedestrians.

12/8 – Construction Activity & Sidewalk Impacts Near Dixon Recreation Center & Student Legacy Park

As part of the Student Legacy Park Resurfacing project, construction activity may create minor delays for pedestrians along the sidewalk west of Dixon Recreation Center. The work will take place on Friday, December 8 from 12 – 4 P.M. Several parking spaces on the east side of SW 26th St. will be taped off for equipment staging. Work crews will be moving between the fenced construction area around the sand volleyball courts and a cement mixer parked on 26th St. Impacts to pedestrians are expected to be minimal.

In addition, a second work site will be active along the south sidewalk on SW Intramural Lane, across from Poling Hall. Workers in the area will be pouring concrete near the basketball court. Impacts to pedestrians are expected to be minimal.

The map shows a work area with construction fencing along the sidewalk west of Dixon Recreation Center on SW 26th St. The sidewalk is marked as open. The location of a concrete mixer is marked in the parking spaces bordering the sidewalk on 26th St.

The map shows the location of a concrete mixer and a work area on SW Intramural Lane across from Poling Hall. The work area is located on the sidewalk just north of the basketball court at Student Legacy Park.

UPDATE: Kerr South Parking Lot & Sidewalk Closure Extended Through January 8

This is an update to a previous closure.

As part of the Kerr Administration South Parking Lot Improvement project, the Kerr South parking lot closure has been extended through January 8 to complete construction and landscaping. This includes the closure of the west sidewalk. ADA access is available on the east side of the building.

The map shows the Kerr South parking lot and the walkway west of the Kerr Administration Building. Both areas are marked as closed.

12/6 – SW Stadium Ave. CLOSED Behind The LaSells Stewart Center

As part of the LaSells Stewart Center Mechanical & Roof Renewal Project, a section of SW Stadium Ave., located directly behind The LaSells Stewart Center and just south of Bloss Hall, will be closed to allow for crane activity on Wednesday, December 6 from 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The entrance to SW Stadium Ave. from SW Western Blvd. will be closed. Both the east and west sidewalks on Stadium Ave., directly behind The LaSells Stewart Center, will be closed. A vehicle detour will be available from Western Blvd. along the east and north side of the LaSells Stewart Center East parking lot. 

Please note: Stadium Ave. north of this area is closed under a separate notification for construction activity related to the Bloss Hall Renovation project.

The LaSells Stewart Center East parking lot (#3259) will remain open.

A vehicle detour is marked from SW Western Blvd. along the east and north side of the LaSells Stewart Center East parking lot. The parking lot is marked as open.

12/4: Campus Way Sidewalk Closed Near West Greenhouses

As part of the West Greenhouse Improvement project, a section of the north sidewalk on SW Campus Way will be closed on Monday, December 4 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. to allow for construction activities. The closure will be located between the West Greenhouses and the Seed Laboratory.

Pedestrians may detour around the area by using the south sidewalk and the crosswalks located at the Seed Laboratory and SW 30th St.

The map shows a sidewalk closure on the north side of SW Campus Way between the West Greenhouses and the Seed Laboratory. A pedestrian detour is marked. From SW 30th St., the detour is marked along the south sidewalk with a cross walk marked at the Seed Laboratory. From SW 35th St., the detour is marked along the north sidewalk, to the crosswalk at the Seed Laboratory and then proceeding east along the south sidewalk.
