For work related to the Fairbanks Hall Renovation Project, planned power outages are scheduled for Tuesday, December 21, 2021 and will impact Langton, Moreland and Waldo halls. Pacific Power and Fortis Construction will coordinate and work to install a new vault, transformer, and feeds during the planned power outages.

As part of the Graf Hall Renovation Project, a section of sidewalk along NW Monroe Ave. on the north side of Graf Hall will be closed for the removal of an underground storage tank near the building. The closure will be in place daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 through Thursday, December 16, 2021. Signage and flaggers will be provided when needed for intermittent street and sidewalk restrictions.

For work related to the Community Hall Slope Project, a series of planned power outages scheduled for Monday, December 27, 2021 through Wednesday, December 29, 2021 are canceled due to inclement weather. Dates and times for the planned outages will be rescheduled.

For work related to the Arts and Education Complex project, changes will be made to the construction fencing around the AEC worksite and will impact the Kerr Administration South parking lot (lot #3262). Changes to the construction fencing will be in place starting Monday, December 13, 2021 through Friday, December 17, 2021.

Tree removal work along SW Washington Way between SW 30th and SW 26th streets, which was originally scheduled for Monday, December 13, 2021 through Friday, December 31, 2021, has been postponed. An update will be shared when new dates are scheduled.

As part of the Graf Hall Renovation Project, the contractor for the project will be doing excavation work below the pedestrian bridge between Graf Hall and Rogers Hall. They will also be doing overhead steel work on the bridge. While this work is ongoing, pedestrian traffic in the area will be restricted. Work is scheduled to start on Monday, December 6, 2021 through Friday, December 10, 2021.

Electrical reroute work related to the Completing Reser Stadium project is scheduled to start on Monday, December 6, 2021 through Sunday, December 19, 2021. There will be temporary parking lot impacts for the Reser Stadium Lot (lot #3281) and the Valley Football Center Lot (lot #3284). Thirteen standard parking spaces and six ADA spaces will be impacted. Alternative ADA parking spaces will be provided.

Effective Date(s): December 6, 5:30 am – 7:30 am

The generator backup power will be shutdown in ALS on December 6, from 5:30 am – 7:30 am to replace some electrical components in the system. This will affect power to red emergency outlets building-wide. Building occupants may also notice some air pressure fluctuations until all fans are restored.

The north sidewalk along SW Jefferson Avenue, between the Fairbanks Hall parking lot entry and the Austin Hall/Asian & Pacific Cultural Center fire lane/pathway will be closed for a short duration to accommodate a boring truck starting on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 1, 2021 through the end of the day on Friday, December 3, 2021.

Additionally, as part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation Project, utility work continues. The sidewalk between the Women’s Building and Fairbanks Hall is scheduled to be closed through Monday, December 27, 2021 (view map). An area of the sidewalk/fire lane between Austin Hall and the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center will also be closed.
