4/17 – Cordley Hall Asphalt Paving

As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project, asphalt paving work will be occurring near Cordley Hall on Wednesday, April 17. There will be two work zones for this project. One work zone will be on NW Orchard Ave., near the Cordley Hall loading dock. The second work zone will be on SW Campus Way, near the Cordley Hall south entrance.

There will be no traffic or sidewalk impacts associated with this work, but those in the area may notice an increase in vehicles, noise, asphalt odors and construction activity.

4/13 – 5/6: SW 30th St. West Sidewalk Closure

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the west sidewalk on SW 30th St. will be closed between SW Washington Way and SW Jefferson Way starting Saturday, April 13 through Monday, May 6.

Pedestrians may use the east sidewalk as a detour.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work site.

The map shows a closure of the west sidewalk on SW 30th St. The closure extends from SW Washington Way north to SW Jefferson Way.

4/13: Washington Way/30th St. North-South Intersection Reopening

This is an update to a previous notification.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the intersection at SW Washington Way and SW 30th Street will be reopening for north-south traffic only on Saturday, April 13.

Washington Way between 26th and 30th St. and between 30th and 35th St. will remain closed as construction work continues in the area.

4/10 – 4/11: Benton Place Lane, Parking & Sidewalk Closure Near Goss Stadium

As part of the Goss Baseball Hitting Building project, a section of the southbound lane on Benton Place will be closed intermittently on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the area. The closure area will be located near the intersection at Washington Way.

Six street parking spaces will be closed on the west side of Benton Place.

In addition, the west sidewalk on Benton Place will be closed between Langton Place and Washington Way, starting near Snell Hall. Pedestrians may use the south sidewalk on Langton Place, the walkway on the west side of Goss Stadium and the north sidewalk on Washington Way to detour around the closure.

Other possible impacts include noise near the worksite.

The map shows a closure in the southbound lane on Benton Place, near the intersection with Washington Way. The west sidewalk on Benton Place is marked as closed between Langton Place and Washington Way. A pedestrian detour is marked along the south sidewalk on Langton Place, the walkway on the west side of Goss Stadium and the north sidewalk on Washington Way.

4/9 – 4/12: ALS/Nash Hall Chilled Water System Shutdown

As part of the Building Controls and Mechanical Renewal project, the chilled water system that feeds the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building and Nash Hall will be shut down to allow for piping work. The buildings may experience elevated temps during the shutdown, but no large temperature swings are expected.

Growth chambers, cold rooms and server rooms will be not affected by this shutdown.
