6/28: SW Stadium Ave. & B2 Parking CLOSED Behind LaSells Stewart Center

As part of the LaSells Stewart Center Mechanical & Roof Renewal Project, a section of SW Stadium Ave. located directly behind LaSells Stewart Center and just south of Bloss Hall will be closed to allow for crane activity on Wednesday, June 28 from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. The B2 parking lot east of the LaSells Stewart Center will also be closed.

The entrance to SW Stadium Ave. from SW Western Blvd. will be closed. Both the east and west sidewalks on Stadium Ave. directly behind the LaSells Stewart Center will be closed. A vehicle detour will be available from Western Blvd. along the east and north side of the Bloss Hall South parking lot.

As part of Kelley District Utility Plant project, the sidewalk between the Kelley Engineering Center and the Plageman Student Health Center will be closed on Tuesday, June 27 from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Other possible impacts include noise and concrete dust near the construction site. ADA access to all buildings in the area will be maintained.

6/26 – 9/27: Kerr South Parking Lot & Sidewalk Closure

As part of the Kerr Administration South Parking Lot Improvement project, the Kerr South parking lot will be closed for construction activities from Monday, June 26 through Wednesday, September 27. The path running along the west side of the Kerr Administration Building will be closed along with the south entrance/exit to the parking lot and the ADA ramp. Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the construction site.

6/23: SW A Avenue Sidewalk CLOSED Near Pride Center

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, the north sidewalk on SW A Avenue between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets will be closed on Friday, June 23 from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. The impacted sidewalk section is located directly in front of the Pride Center. Pedestrians may detour across A Avenue at either the 15th Street crosswalk or at the intersection of 16th Street and A Avenue and use the south sidewalk.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the construction site.

The map shows a sidewalk closure on the north side of SW A Avenue between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets. There is a pedestrian detour marked at the intersections of SW 15th and SW 16th Streets and running along the south sidewalk of SW A Avenue.

6/22: Lane & Sidewalk Closure on SW Campus Way

As part of the West Greenhouse Improvement Project, a section of the westbound lane and the north sidewalk on SW Campus Way will be closed between the greenhouses and the Seed Laboratory on Thursday, June 22 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. The impacted section is located in front of the West Greenhouse Complex parking lot entrance. Drivers should expect to see flaggers in the area. Pedestrians may detour around the closure using the crosswalks located at SW 30th Street. and the Seed Laboratory.

The map shows SW Campus Way between SW 30th and SW 35th Streets with a section of the westbound lane marked as closed in front of the West Greenhouse Complex parking lot entrance. A section of the north sidewalk in the same location is also marked as closed. A pedestrian detour is marked with crosswalks shown at SW 30th St. and the Seed Laboratory. The eastbound lane is marked as a detour for vehicles.

Sidewalk Median & City Parking CLOSED at 11th St & Madison Ave.

Sidewalk median closed through 7/3; parking closed through 12/31

As part of the Upper Division & Graduate Student Housing project, the roadway and sidewalk median on SW Madison Ave. between SW 9th and SW 11th Streets will be closed through July 3. The sidewalks on the north side of Madison Ave. and the east side of 11th St. will remain closed through December 31. The sidewalk on the south side Madison Ave. will remain open.

In addition, several city parking spaces along the west side of SW 11th St. near the intersection with NW Monroe Ave. will be closed through December 31st to allow for construction activities.

6/19-9/25: Extended Summer Closures on Washington Way & 26th St.

Two major projects related to the Washington Way Improvement Project will impact campus starting Monday, June 19 and continuing throughout the summer.

Washington Way will be fully closed between 17th and 26th Streets from June 20 through September 25 for road reconstruction work. The sidewalks on both sides of Washington Way will remain open.

The map shows a road closure on SW Washington Way between SW 17th and SW 26th Streets.

A second closure will impact 26th Street starting at the Washington Way intersection and extending 200 ft. to the north. This closure will be in effect from June 19 through July 3. The closure includes the entire roadway and the west sidewalk on 26th St. Parking spaces on the east side of 26th St. will remain open during construction.

The map shows a road closure on SW 26th Street between SW Washington Way and SW Intramural Lane. The sidewalk on the west side of SW 26th Street is also shown as closed.
