Emergency Shutdown Notice – The Crop Science Building chiller will be shut down immediately for emergency repairs. This will affect cooling building wide. A restoral date is unknown at this time due to parts availability. An additional notice will be sent out when services have been restored.

Scheduled: Crop Science Building – Generator Transfer Switch Testing
Effective Date(s): August 10, 2022, 5:30 am – 6:30 am.
To ensure recent repairs to the transfer switch were successful, power to all generator-backed outlets will be briefly interrupted for testing on August 10, 2022. Power interruptions should only occur when the switch is turned on and then turned off a short amount of time later.

Due to a mechanical failure, the chiller that provides cooling to Crop Science is being shut down. Building occupants will notice warmer than normal air temperatures in the building. Emergency repairs are being coordinated with a contractor but a restoral date is not known at this time. For questions email Facilities Services or call 737-2969.
Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators. Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing. Each generator will be refueled after testing.

All domestic water will be shut down in Crop Science Building March 12, 2022 from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm to replace both 3” backflow preventers. This will affect the water in equipment, restrooms, custodial closets, drinking fountains and sinks.

The building water for Crop Science will be shutdown to repairs, October 15th, 2020 from 6:00 am. 9:00 am. This will affect all potable water, building wide. Restrooms will be temporarily out of order and signage will be in place.
