This may cause higher than normal temperature levels building-wide. An additional notice will be sent out when repairs are complete and cooling is restored. This will not affect temperatures in the server rooms or Atrium.

As part of the Magruder Hall Renovation and Addition, chiller 4 at Magruder Hall is scheduled to be shut down for wiring work (view map). The shutdown is scheduled to start on Thursday, Nov. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. The chiller will be off for a total of three days. The main panel will be turned off and a planned electrical shutdown for the building will occur for approximately two hours on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The Austin Hall building chiller will be shutdown for maintenance October 2, 2020 from 8:00am – 12:00pm. This will affect HVAC cooling building.

For work related to the Pharmacy classroom AC unit upgrade, the shutdown of the 509 chiller that services the north wing of the Pharmacy Building is necessary for the start-up of the new AC unit for Classroom #305. Facilities Services will be monitoring the electrical capacity once the new unit is up and will be restarting the 509 chiller to see if the building electrical capacity is compromised. The shutdown for the 509 chiller is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 through 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020.
