Due to a failed chiller component, Richardson Hall will be without cooling for the next several hours while repairs are being completed. This may cause higher than normal temperature levels building-wide. An additional notice will be sent out when repairs are complete and cooling is restored. This will not affect temperatures in the server rooms or Atrium.
Due to a failed chiller component, the Kerr Administration Bldg. will be without cooling for the next several days while replacement parts are on order. As part of the Magruder Hall Renovation and Addition, chiller 4 at Magruder Hall is scheduled to be shut down for wiring work (view map). The shutdown is scheduled to start on Thursday, Nov. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. The chiller will be off for a total of three days. The main panel will be turned off and a planned electrical shutdown for the building will occur for approximately two hours on Saturday, Nov. 7.

For work related to the Pharmacy classroom AC unit upgrade, the shutdown of the 509 chiller that services the north wing of the Pharmacy Building is necessary for the start-up of the new AC unit for Classroom #305. Facilities Services will be monitoring the electrical capacity once the new unit is up and will be restarting the 509 chiller to see if the building electrical capacity is compromised. The shutdown for the 509 chiller is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 through 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020.
