Water service will be shut down in Kidder Hall on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, for an urgent repair starting at 6 am -10 am. Water will be shut off for the entire building including all restrooms.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the steam system will be shut down in Johnson Hall on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18 to allow for steam piping repairs in the mechanical room. This shutdown will impact the entire building. The building will experience temperature fluctuations and hot water will be unavailable during the shutdown. The building will be monitored while the steam system is offline for any potential issues.

As part of the Kerr South Parking Lot project, a section of the west sidewalk on SW 15th St. will be closed from Monday, November 13 through Thursday, November 30. The impacted section is located just east of the Kerr Administration Building, between SW Jefferson Way and SW Adams Ave.
The crosswalk at SW Adams Ave. will also be closed.
Pedestrians may detour around the area by using the crosswalk at SW Jefferson Way and the east sidewalk on SW 15th St.
The Kerr Administration Building’s east entrance will remain open, with ADA access available. The bus stop on the west side of SW 15th St. will remain open.
Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the worksite.

As part of the Memorial Union Roof & Gutter project, SW Jefferson Way will be closed between SW Benton Pl. and SW 26th St. on Friday, November 10. The north sidewalk and the parking spaces directly in front of Memorial Union will be closed. The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.
The intersections at SW Waldo Pl. and SW Langton Pl. will be closed to vehicle traffic.

Please note: this closure has been extended. As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, SW Campus Way will be closed between SW 26th Street and SW Memorial Place starting Monday, November 6 through Monday, November 27 to allow for crane activity.
Please note that this shut down has been revised with extended dates. As part of the Nash Hall Process Water Tower Replacement project, the process water loop at Nash Hall will be shut down from Thursday, November 9 through Monday, November 13 at noon.
Correction: The west sidewalk on SW 15th St. near the Kerr Administration Building is closed under a previous notification and will remain closed through December 4. The east sidewalk will be open for pedestrians during the work occurring on November 9 and November 10.

A single lane will be closed at a time, with traffic being allowed to pass through the opposite lane. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
The impacted area will be between SW Washington Ave. and SW Adams Ave. near the Kerr Administration Building and Callahan Hall. Drivers should expect delays between 9 A.M. and 3 P.M. on both days.
The west sidewalk will be closed along with the crosswalk at SW Adams Ave. The east sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians. Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

The steam will be shut down in Magruder Hall November 9, 2023 7:00 am – 1:00 am to enable the contractor to raise the condensate line. This will affect all steam services, which includes autoclaves, washers, hot water, heating water as well as cooler temps may be noticed building wide.

The impacted section is located between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets, directly behind the Pride Center. Several parking spaces along May Ave. will also be closed.
Other possible impacts include dust and mud near the work site.
