4/9 – 4/12: ALS/Nash Hall Chilled Water System Shutdown

As part of the Building Controls and Mechanical Renewal project, the chilled water system that feeds the Agricultural and Life Sciences Building and Nash Hall will be shut down to allow for piping work. The buildings may experience elevated temps during the shutdown, but no large temperature swings are expected.

Growth chambers, cold rooms and server rooms will be not affected by this shutdown.

Pride Center Parking Lot Entry, May Ave. & Sidewalk Closures Extended Through 4/12

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, intermittent closures of roadways and sidewalks will continue to impact the area from Saturday, April 6 through Friday, April 12.

There are three closure areas to be aware of:

  • A section of the north sidewalk on A Avenue, bordering the Pride Center, will be closed, 4/6 – 4/10. Pedestrians may use the south sidewalk as a detour.
  • A section of May Avenue, behind the Pride Center, will be intermittently closed, 4/8 – 4/10.
  • The entry lane to the parking lot west of the Pride Center, off of A Avenue, will be intermittently closed, 4/8 – 4/12. The parking lot will remain open and an alternate entrance is available off of 17th St.
The map shows three closure areas around the OSU Pride Center work site. The entry lane of the parking lot west of the Pride Center is marked as intermittently closed from April 8 through April 12. A section of the north sidewalk on SW A Avenue, bordering the Pride Center, is marked as closed from April 6 through April 10. A section of SW May Avenue, behind the Pride Center, is marked as intermittently closed from April 8 through April 10.

Pride Center Parking Lot Access, Parking Space & Sidewalk Closure Extended Through 4/5

The sidewalk and parking space closures associated with construction work at the Pride Center have been extended through Friday, April 5.

The sidewalk and parking spaces bordering the Pride Center, on the north side of SW A Ave., will be closed to repair the sidewalk and install lighting. Pedestrians may use the south sidewalk along SW A Ave. as a detour.

The map shows a closure at the SW A Ave. entrance to the parking lot west of the Pride Center. Alternate entrances are marked on SW 15th and SW 17th Streets. Additionally, the sidewalk and street parking spaces bordering the Pride Center on the north side of A Ave. are marked as closed. The south sidewalk is marked as a pedestrian detour.

4/3 – 4/10: Orchard Ave. Sidewalk Closed Between 27th & 30th St.

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation project, the south sidewalk on NW Orchard Ave. between NW 27th and NW 30th St. will be closed starting Wednesday, April 3 through Wednesday, April 10. Pedestrians may use the north sidewalk as a detour.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

The map shows a sidewalk closure on the south side of NW Orchard Ave. between NW 27th and NW 30th St. A detour is marked along the north sidewalk.

Fairbanks Hall Parking & Sidewalk Closure Extended through 4/3

This is an update to a previous notification.

Most parking spaces and sidewalks will be reopened for use with four spots on the west side closed for a boom lift through Wednesday, April 3.  ADA access to Fairbanks Hall is open on the east side of the building.  ADA access is closed on the west side of Fairbanks Hall through Wednesday, April 3.

3/29 – Kelley Engineering Center Steam Shutdown

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the steam system in Kelley Engineering Center will be shut down on Friday, March 29 from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. The building will experience small temperature fluctuations and hot water in restrooms will be limited during the shutdown.

3/27 – 3/29: Pride Center Parking Lot Entrance Closed

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, the entrance to the B2 parking lot on SW A Avenue (west of the Pride Center) will be closed starting Wednesday March 27 through Friday, March 29. This closure will be in effect from 7 A.M. to 4 P.M. daily. The parking lot will remain fully open. The entrance lane will be closed; the exit lane will remain open.

Alternate entrances will be available on SW 17th St. and SW 15th St.

The map shows a closure at the SW A Ave. entrance to the parking lot west of the Pride Center. Alternate entrances are marked on SW 15th and SW 17th Streets.

3/22 – Memorial Place Sidewalk, Bike Lane & Parking Space Closure

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, a section of the west sidewalk and bicycle lane on SW Memorial Place will be closed on Friday, March 22 from 5 – 9 A.M. The closures will be located between Kelley Engineering Center and Plageman Student Health Center.

Three service parking spaces on the east side of Memorial Place will also be closed.

Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

The map shows a sidewalk and bike lane closure on the west side of SW Memorial Place, between Kelley Engineering Center and Plageman Student Health Center.
