Electrical services will be shutdown to Wiegand Hall on December 19th, 2023, from 5 a.m. – 7 a.m.  to install a new breaker.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to December 19, 2023. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.

As part of early work for the Jen-Hsun & Lori Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, sidewalks on the north, south and east sides of Johnson Hall will be closed to pedestrians from Monday, December 18 through January 5, 2024.

Sidewalks closed on the south, north and east side of Johnson Hall from December 18 until January 5.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the north side of the intersection at SW Washington Way and SW 26th Street will be closed from Monday, December 18 – Friday, December 29. A section of 26th St. will be closed between Washington Way and Dixon Recreation Center.

The east side of this intersection is closed under a previous notification.

Pedestrians may use the multi-use path on the south side of Washington Way as a detour around the area.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work site.

As part of the Jen-Hsun & Lori Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, the intersection at SW 26th Street and NW Orchard Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic on Monday, December 18 and Tuesday, December 19 to allow for construction activity.

The north-south crosswalk on Orchard Ave. will be closed for pedestrians. The sidewalks in the area will remain open, except for a section of sidewalk on the east side of the intersection, directly in front of Johnson Hall. The loading dock north of Johnson Hall will be closed except for pre-arranged deliveries. The concrete walkway on the south side of Johnson Hall will also be closed.

Bike lanes in the area will be closed.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, SW Washington Way will be closed between SW 15th and SW 17th Streets on Friday, December 15 to allow for pavement striping. The intersections at SW 17th and SW Benton Place will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The north sidewalk on Washington Way will be closed. The multi-use path on the south side of Washington Way will remain open for pedestrians.

Washington Way remains closed between 17th and 26th Streets under a previous notification.

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, a section of SW May Ave. will be closed on Wednesday, December 13 and Thursday, December 14 from 7:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. on both days. The closed section will be located directly behind the Pride Center. In addition, several parking spaces bordering SW May Ave. will also be closed.

Other possible impacts include mud near the work site.
