7/2024: Campus Wide Generator Testing
Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators. Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing. Each generator will be refueled after testing.

4/26/24: Multiple Restroom Shutdown in George W. Peavy Science Center 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Multiple restrooms will be shut down in George W. Peavy Science Center April 26, 2024 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm to repair leaks in various restrooms. This will affect various restrooms building wide throughout the day.

An outside contractor will be performing testing on fire rollup doors December 18th-20th . The testing is approximately ½ hour per door. The door will be closed for that time, and there may be some noise as the door closes and opens. Please see the list of impacted buildings below.

8/7/23-8/11/23: Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Testing
Scheduled: Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Testing
Effective Date(s): August 7th-August 11th, 2023
Convergint will be conducting annual fire alarm & sprinkler testing. Testing will take place in the buildings listed below. The testing will be brief and include both sounding of alarms and strobes. As part of the testing building occupants may notice occasional beeping coming from the fire panel and horns and strobe lights activating throughout the building. Signage will be posted on exterior doors while testing is being conducted.

9/12-/9/13/2022: Glass repair work scheduled at George W. Peavy Forest Science Center
From Monday, September 12, 2022 through Tuesday, September 13, 2022, contractors will be onsite at George W. Peavy Forest Science Center replacing a pane of glass on the third floor of the building. A 60-foot lift will be onsite and the sidewalk located on the east side of the building in the small arboretum area will be roped off. Pedestrians can access the building from the north entrance.

1/20/20: Planned power shutdown for Richardson Hall, 8 to 10 a.m.
As part of the George W. Peavy Forest Science Center project, a planned power shutdown for Richardson Hall is necessary. The shutdown is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 from 8 to 10 a.m. A backup generator will be running.
