As part of the Owen Hall chiller replacement, the chiller manufacturer will be installing additional equipment that will require the chiller to be shutdown. This will only impact comfort cooling. The secondary chiller will continue to support the labs. The primary chiller shutdown is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

All laboratory compressed air will be shut down in Owen Hall Thursday October 28, 2021 from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm to install a new check valve in the system. This will affect compressed for the entire building.

A temporary sidewalk closure at the southwest side of Owen Hall is scheduled from 7-10 a.m., on Monday, October 18, 2021 (view map). A crew will be using a lift to repair a window at the southwest corner of the building.

As part of the Owen Hall Renovation Project, a temporary elevator shutdown is scheduled from 7 to 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 to upgrade the fire alarm system in the building. The first and second floors of Owen Hall can be accessed by using Kearney Hall and the sky bridge.

A temporary sidewalk closure in the area around the Owen Hall loading dock is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily starting Thursday, October 14 through Friday, October 15, 2021. A crew will be working on the roof of the building to install antenna locations for a DAS system.

As part of the Owen Hall Renovation Project, the main network fiber line that was damaged by last year’s water leak is being replaced. All network & internet services for the building will be shut down from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

As part of the Owen Hall Renovation Project, Campus Way in front of Owen Hall will be narrowed by 12 feet for a concrete pump and concrete truck. There will be a 8-10 foot lane that will remain open. Work is scheduled to take place between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. daily, starting on Wednesday, May 26, and again on Friday, May 28, 2021.

Steam will be shut down to Owen Hall on February 10th, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, to replace a steam valve for SU1. This will affect airflow and heating throughout the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor as well as the east side of the 4th floor.
