12/27/23: Scheduled: Planned Power Outage

Pacific Power is scheduling a power outage to make repairs to equipment at Gill Coliseum. The outage will be Wednesday December 27th beginning at 5:00 am with an estimated completion time of 7 am. Please see the list of impacted buildings below. These buildings will be closed to the public during the outage.
Affected buildings:
• Bloss Hall
• Finley Hall
• Arnold Dining Center
• Dixon Recreation Center
• Gill Coliseum
What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to 12/27/23. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. The building will not have network connectivity during this power outage, i.e. no wireless, wired internet or VoIP phone connectivity. Anything that relies on the network will not be functional.

12/18-12/20: Scheduled: Annual Fire Rollup Door Testing

Scheduled: Annual Fire Rollup Door Testing

Effective Date(s):  December 18-20, 2023

An outside contractor will be performing testing on fire rollup doors December 18th-20th .  The testing is approximately ½ hour per door. The door will be closed for that time, and there may be some noise as the door closes and opens. Please see the list of impacted buildings below.

12/18-12/19: Scheduled: Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Testing

Convergint will be conducting annual fire alarm & sprinkler testing.  Testing will take place in the buildings listed below.  The testing will be brief and include both sounding of alarms and strobes. As part of the testing building occupants may notice occasional beeping coming from the fire panel and horns and strobe lights activating throughout the building.  Signage will be posted on exterior doors while testing is being conducted.

December 18th

  • Milne Computer Center (device testing only)
  • The Valley Library (elevator only)
  • Covell/Batcheller Hall (sound & sprinkler testing)

December 19th

  • Valley Football Center (Device testing)
  • Reser Stadium (Device testing)

Electrical services will be shutdown to Wiegand Hall on December 19th, 2023, from 5 a.m. – 7 a.m.  to install a new breaker.

10/31/23: Fire Alarm Testing Covell Hall and Batcheller Hall 6:00 am – 7:00 am

Convergint will be conducting annual fire alarm testing in Covell Hall and Batcheller Hall, on October 31, 2023, between 6:00 am -7:00 am.  The testing will be brief and include both sounding of alarms. The sounding of alarms will be performed before 7:00 in the morning.

9/26/23: Scheduled Pacific Power Service Outage 8a-3:30p

Pacific Power has scheduled a power outage to set a new 45′ pole in order to establish new service for the OSU Ag building. The outage will begin Tuesday September 26th, 2023, beginning at 8:00 am with an estimated completion time of 3:30 pm. Please see the list of impacted buildings below. These buildings will be closed to the public during the outage.
Affected buildings:
• John L. Fryer Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory
• Smith Farm Fisheries and Wildlife Office
• Plant Pathology
• Vegetable Lab
• Vegetable Farm
What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Sunday, April 2nd. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.
