Facilities will be testing the newly installed transfer switch on January 4th, 2022  at 5am. There will be brief disruptions in power, approximately 30 seconds, on the red generator outlets and some emergency lighting while power is transferred to the generator and back. Testing should be completed by 8am. There will be no disruption to normal non-generator protected power in the building.

The generator backup power will be shutdown in ALS on December 6, from 5:30 am – 7:30 am to replace some electrical components in the system. This will affect power to red emergency outlets building-wide. Building occupants may also notice some air pressure fluctuations until all fans are restored.

Water has been shut down to Moreland Hall, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, to repair a water line broken by a contractor.  This will affect all water building-wide including restrooms and sinks. They expect to have repairs completed by the end of the day.

Update: Friday September 24, 2021 temperatures are expected to climb into the mid 80’s. Due to shipping delays, Facilities has been unable to obtain the parts necessary to make the final repairs.  Therefore, at this time we will not be able to hold comfortable temperatures in the building.  Please plan accordingly.

This may cause higher than normal temperature levels building-wide. An additional notice will be sent out when repairs are complete and cooling is restored. Emergency Street Shutdown Westbound lane at the intersection of 30th and Washington Way due to an apparent water main break. The City of Corvallis has been contacted and is en route to repair, unknown time of restoration.  Additional lane closures could occur as the work progresses. Magruder Hall will experience reduced water pressure while this repair is being performed.

Portions of OSU’s Corvallis Campus may have recently experienced a power bump. Currently, Johnson Hall,  Hovland Hall, and Gilmore Annex are experiencing power outages.  Pacific Power is still investigating the cause of the outage and OSU Facilities Services is working to identify if there are any additional buildings affected. Pacific Power estimates the power to be restored by 4:30 pm. Contact Facilities Services at 541-737-2969 if you notice other areas without power or if there are issues with equipment not resetting.
