As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, the north sidewalk on SW A Avenue between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets will be closed on Friday, June 23 from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. The impacted sidewalk section is located directly in front of the Pride Center. Pedestrians may detour across A Avenue at either the 15th Street crosswalk or at the intersection of 16th Street and A Avenue and use the south sidewalk.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the construction site.

This is an update to a previous notification for a closure on SW 26th Street near Dixon Recreation Center. The road and west sidewalk closure will remain in place. The new pedestrian detour will be along the sidewalk that runs between the Coliseum Substation and the sand volleyball courts, just south of Dixon Recreation Center. Signs will be placed at the sidewalk endpoints on 26th Street and Washington Way to direct pedestrian traffic. The closures and pedestrian detour will remain in effect through July 3.

Other possible impacts include noise and concrete dust near the construction site. ADA access to all buildings in the area will be maintained.

As part of the West Greenhouse Improvement Project, a section of the westbound lane and the north sidewalk on SW Campus Way will be closed between the greenhouses and the Seed Laboratory on Thursday, June 22 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. The impacted section is located in front of the West Greenhouse Complex parking lot entrance. Drivers should expect to see flaggers in the area. Pedestrians may detour around the closure using the crosswalks located at SW 30th Street. and the Seed Laboratory.

The map shows SW Campus Way between SW 30th and SW 35th Streets with a section of the westbound lane marked as closed in front of the West Greenhouse Complex parking lot entrance. A section of the north sidewalk in the same location is also marked as closed. A pedestrian detour is marked with crosswalks shown at SW 30th St. and the Seed Laboratory. The eastbound lane is marked as a detour for vehicles.

Sidewalk median closed through 7/3; parking closed through 12/31

As part of the Upper Division & Graduate Student Housing project, the roadway and sidewalk median on SW Madison Ave. between SW 9th and SW 11th Streets will be closed through July 3. The sidewalks on the north side of Madison Ave. and the east side of 11th St. will remain closed through December 31. The sidewalk on the south side Madison Ave. will remain open.

In addition, several city parking spaces along the west side of SW 11th St. near the intersection with NW Monroe Ave. will be closed through December 31st to allow for construction activities.

Student Legacy Park, including all fields, tennis facilities, basketball court and sand volleyball courts will be closed for resurfacing and turf replacement starting on Monday, June 19 and continuing through the summer. The sidewalk on the north side of Washington Way directly adjacent to Student Legacy Park will also be closed. Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the construction site.

The HVAC system in the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building will undergo air handler testing on Monday, June 19 from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. The testing process will involve intermittent system shutdown. Airflow and building pressure will be affected, but impacts will be minimal and of short duration. Building exhaust systems and fume hoods will not be affected during the shutdown.
