SAFETY UPDATE: there have been escalating safety concerns at the intersection of Washington Way and SW 26th St. due to drivers ignoring posted signage, driving around barriers and attempting to enter active construction zones. Please read signs and follow detours carefully. Your help and support in maintaining a safe environment is greatly appreciated.
The intersection at SW 26th St. and SW Washington Way will be closed in all directions starting on Monday, April 7 through Monday, April 28.
East and west sidewalks on SW 26th St. will be closed between Washington Way and Dixon Recreation Center. Pedestrians and bicyclists may detour around the area using the walkway south of Dixon, bordering the sand volleyball courts. The multi-use path on the south side of Washington Way will remain open.
Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work area.

This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis. Work is expected to continue through September 2025.
SW 35th St. will be closed to through traffic between Western Blvd. and Washington Way on Friday, March 28. Local access to buildings and parking lots on 35th St. will be permitted. Detours will be in place for through traffic. Western Blvd. will remain open for east-west travel during this closure.
As part of mechanical systems work happening at Linus Pauling Science Center, a section of the parking lot south of LPSC will be closed due to crane activity. A staging area will be established on the north side of the parking lot starting on Thursday, March 27 and remain in place through Wednesday, April 2.
The crane work will take place on Tuesday, April 1. A section of the drive lane on the north side of the parking lot will be closed while the crane is operating.
Building access will not be impacted by this project.

The city of Corvallis will be conducting a sewer line project on SW Campus Way on Wednesday, March 26 from 8:30 A.M. until 12 P.M. This work will occur directly in front of the Seed Laboratory and require single lane closures in this section of Campus Way. Flaggers will be present to direct vehicles. Sidewalks in the area will remain open.
Other possible impacts include noise near the work area.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant Project, Kelley Engineering Center and Plageman Student Health Center will be closed for a planned power outage on Wednesday, March 26 from 4 – 8 a.m.
What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please ensure that all electronic devices not connected to emergency power are powered down and that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Wednesday, March 26. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. Please ensure that all fume hoods are closed before leaving the labs.

Impacts for the week of March 24th – 28th
Road work will begin on SW Western Blvd. between SW 35th St. and SW Hanson St.
The signal at Western and SW 35th St. will be shut down and transition to a four-way stop during work hours.
East and west lanes will remain open for vehicles.
Bicycle lanes in this section of Western Blvd. will be closed and bikes will travel in the vehicle lanes.
As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the multi-use path on the south side of Washington Way will be closed through Monday, April 21. The north sidewalk and the cycle track will remain open.
