Updates related to the 2021-22 Street Resurfacing Project along NW Harrison Blvd:

·         Paving was completed on Monday, 10/11.

·         Harrison and 35th Street is anticipated to be back to open for traffic by the end of the day Friday, 10/15. This means that Corvallis Transit System (CTS) routes should also be back to normal operations and routes at that time.

·         The following work and road closures remain on the project;

  • The striping contractor will be on-site Thursday, 10/14 and Friday, 10/15 to complete all long line striping.  Striping placement will require the continuation of the Harrison Blvd closure and the 35th Street closure at Harrison Blvd.
  • Signal detection loop installations will begin Monday, 10/18 and will continue for several days. This work will require lane shifts. No street closures are anticipated to complete the loop installations.
  • Final clean up and punch list work will be ongoing the next couple of weeks. There will be times when punch list work may require flagging, lane closures or lane shifts to complete the work. Please use caution when driving around an active work zone.

This project is managed by the city of Corvallis. For questions or comments on this closure, contact Project Manager Josh Bjornstedt

As part of the 2021-22 Street Resurfacing Project along NW Harrison Blvd, changes to access on NW Harrison Boulevard will remain in effect as follows:

  • October 1-12, 2021 – Harrison Blvd day time closure, open overnight (Circle to 29th), and open on the weekends. The existing detour that utilizes 29th, and Grant will be expanded to include Witham and Circle. Detours will be signed.
  • NW Harrison Blvd will be open all day on Saturday, October 2, 2021 for the OSU home football game.
  • 35th Street at Harrison Blvd will be closed during the daytime to allow the grinding and paving to occur. A traffic detour for the closure of 35th Street at Harrison will be Western to 15th to Harrison.

This project is managed by the city of Corvallis. For questions or comments on this closure, contact Project Manager Josh Bjornstedt

Update: Friday September 24, 2021 temperatures are expected to climb into the mid 80’s. Due to shipping delays, Facilities has been unable to obtain the parts necessary to make the final repairs.  Therefore, at this time we will not be able to hold comfortable temperatures in the building.  Please plan accordingly.

This shutdown will not affect the server room.

Please forward this notice to anyone who would benefit from this information.

9/21/21- Due to a failed chiller component, the Kerr Administration Bldg. will be without cooling for the next several days while replacement parts are on order. This may cause higher than normal temperature levels building-wide. An additional notice will be sent out when repairs are complete and cooling is restored. This shutdown will not affect the server room.

For questions or comments on this closure contact Facilities Services at 541-737-2969.
