As part of the Beth Ray Solar project, SW Stadium Ave. will be closed on the south side of the Beth Ray Center on Friday, February 9 from 6:00 – 7:30 A.M. to allow for crane activity. The road closure will be located between the Beth Ray Center and CH2M HILL Alumni Center.

The sidewalks on both sides of Stadium Ave. will also be closed along with two reserved parking spots, the loading dock and the dumpster access area on the south side of the street.

This closure will occur in two phases on Monday, February 5.

The first closure is scheduled from 6:00 – 7:00 A.M. This closure will impact the alley behind the Beth Ray Center. Flaggers will be present to direct vehicle traffic through the area. Access to the 26th St. parking garage will be maintained. The crosswalk between the Beth Ray Center and Arnold Dining Hall will be closed along with the sidewalk east of the Beth Ray Center

The second closure is scheduled from 7:00 – 8:00 A.M. This closure will impact SW Stadium Ave. on the south side of the Beth Ray Center. The road will be closed, along with a section of sidewalk on both sides of Stadium Ave. The reserved parking spots, the dumpster access area and the loading dock on the south side of Stadium Ave. will also be closed during this time.

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, a section of SW May Ave. will be closed on Wednesday, December 13 and Thursday, December 14 from 7:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. on both days. The closed section will be located directly behind the Pride Center. In addition, several parking spaces bordering SW May Ave. will also be closed.

Other possible impacts include mud near the work site.

As part of the Student Legacy Park Resurfacing project, construction activity may create minor delays for pedestrians along the sidewalk west of Dixon Recreation Center. The work will take place on Friday, December 8 from 12 – 4 P.M. Several parking spaces on the east side of SW 26th St. will be taped off for equipment staging. Work crews will be moving between the fenced construction area around the sand volleyball courts and a cement mixer parked on 26th St. Impacts to pedestrians are expected to be minimal.

In addition, a second work site will be active along the south sidewalk on SW Intramural Lane, across from Poling Hall. Workers in the area will be pouring concrete near the basketball court. Impacts to pedestrians are expected to be minimal.

Multiple parking spaces in the Bloss Hall West parking lot (bordering Stadium Ave.) will also be closed.

In addition, the sidewalk on the west side of Bloss Hall will be closed. Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work site.

Pedestrians may cross A Avenue at either 15th or 16th Street and use the south sidewalk as a detour.

The north-east entrance and the loading dock will remain open.

In addition, the walkway that runs along the west side of Nash Hall will also be closed. Pedestrians may detour around the area via walkways on the south, east and north sides of the building.
