The City of Corvallis has informed OSU that the buildings listed above will be without water while they work to make emergency repairs on a water main break that occurred overnight. This shutdown will affect fire sprinklers, restrooms, labs and drinking fountains throughout these buildings. Restrooms will be available in adjacent buildings. An update will be sent out when more information becomes available.

Electrical services will be shutdown to Wiegand Hall on December 19th, 2023, from 5 a.m. – 7 a.m.  to install a new breaker.

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to December 19, 2023. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.

Scheduled: Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Testing

Effective Date(s): July 31st-August 4th, 2023

Convergint will be conducting annual fire alarm & sprinkler testing.  Testing will take place in the buildings listed below.  The testing will be brief and include both sounding of alarms and strobes. As part of the testing building occupants may notice occasional beeping coming from the fire panel and horns and strobe lights activating throughout the building.  Signage will be posted on exterior doors while testing is being conducted.

Electrical Power in Wiegand Hall will be shutdown Wednesday June 28, 2023 from 5:00 am – 7:00 am while Facilities Services connects a new feed to the smoke lab. The building will be closed to the public during the outage. 

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Thursday, June 28th. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. The building will not have network connectivity during this power outage, i.e. no wireless, wired internet or VoIP phone connectivity. Anything that relies on the network will not be functional.
