SW Campus Way will be closed daily from 8 A.M until 3 P.M to all vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle traffic from June 19th through June 30th for brush clearing and spraying. Work will occur Monday through Friday. The route will reopen after 3 P.M. on weekdays and remain fully open on weekends. The closure will begin just west of the Feed Center and continue down Campus Way to 53rd St.

As part of the West Greenhouse Improvement Project, a section of the eastbound lane on SW Campus Way will be closed along with a section of the south sidewalk on Friday, May 5 from 7 AM to 4PM. The impacted section is located between SW 30th and SW 35th Streets in front of the Motor Pool West and National Forage Seed Center East parking lots. The parking lots will remain open. However, the east entrance to the NFSC East parking lot will be closed and multiple parking spaces will be unavailable.

Drivers should expect to see flaggers directing traffic around the closure. A pedestrian detour will be available along the north sidewalk.

There are two maps pictured. One map shows a pedestrian detour along the north sidewalk on SW Campus Way.  The second map shows a sidewalk and lane closure on the south side of SW Campus Way.

As part of the West Greenhouse Improvement project, a section of sidewalk on the north side of SW Campus Way will be closed on Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28. The impacted section is located immediately west of the Seed Laboratory, between SW 30th and SW 35th Streets. Pedestrians approaching from the east or west may detour across Campus Way using the crosswalk located just east of the Seed Laboratory.

The map shows a sidewalk closure on SW Campus Way on the north side of the street, to the west of the Seed Laboratory. The impacted section is located between 30th and 35th Streets.

As part of the Upper Division and Graduate Housing Project, sidewalks and city parking spaces will be closed along SW 11th St. and SW Madison Ave. This closure will remain in effect through December 2023. Sidewalks and parking spaces will be closed on the east side of SW 11th St. from NW Monroe Ave. to SW Madison Ave. Sidewalks and parking spaces will be closed on the westbound side of SW Madison Ave. from SW 9th St. to SW 11th St. Other possible impacts include noise near the construction site.

Jefferson Way will be closed between Benton Place and Waldo Place on Saturday, April 22. The intersections at Benton Place and Waldo Place will be closed in all directions. ADA parking at the Furman Hall West lot will remain open. Other impacts include noise, dust and mud near the construction site.

As part of the Cordley Hall Renewal project, the building will undergo testing of the standby power, fire alarm and building air sequence systems on Thursday, April 20 from 5 – 9 a.m. Any equipment NOT connected to the standby power system will lose power during this time. 

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers, and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Thursday, April 20. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.

Other possible impacts include noise from fire alarm tests and minor air flow fluctuations.
