The steam will be shut down in Langton Hall March 23, 2022 6:00 am – 5:00 pm to repair a leaking steam gasket and bad control valves. This will affect heating, radiators and hot water in the building.

Each year Facilities Services performs necessary maintenance on the university’s steam system, which requires shutting off the steam throughout campus, to complete maintenance services at the plant, throughout the steam tunnels and in each building. This process affects hot water supply, heating, and all equipment that uses steam, campus wide. The steam shutdown for 2022 will occur June 13^th 7:00 am – June 16^th, 2022 5:00 pm.

Building supply fan AHU1 will be shut down February 3rd, 2022 from 6:00 am – 4:00 pm while crews perform preventive maintenance and replace pulleys and belts on the system. Building occupants may notice slight pressure & air flow changes throughout the building.

The water will be shut down in Community Hall December 22, 2021 from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm for repairs to the water main on third floor. This will affect all water building wide in restrooms, custodial closets, sinks & drinking fountains.

All laboratory compressed air will be shut down in Owen Hall Thursday October 28, 2021 from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm to install a new check valve in the system. This will affect compressed for the entire building.

Emergency Shutdown Notice – The Richardson Hall chiller will be shut down immediately for emergency repairs. This will affect cooling building wide. A restoral date is unknown at this time due to parts availability. An additional notice will be sent out when more information becomes available.
