12/22 – 12/24: Parking Lot Closures for Leaf Sweeping & Pick-up

Transportation Services will be closing multiple parking lots across campus for lot sweeping and leaf pick-up on Monday, December 22 through Wednesday, December 24.

How to prepare for these closures

Please remove all vehicles from the impacted lots by 7:00 a.m. (see schedule and list of parking lots below). Transportation Services will not be towing vehicles, but any vehicles remaining in these lots may get dirty due to equipment working nearby. OSU is not responsible for damage to any personal vehicles.

1/2/26: Scheduled Kerr Administration Bldg. Elevator Testing

Otis will be conducting routine elevator safety testing on January 2nd, 2026, between 7 am -5 pm at the Kerr Administration Bldg. Each unit will be out of service for approximately 4 hours. Signage will be posted on the elevator doors and call buttons while testing is being conducted and only one elevator will be out of service at a time.

12/15-12/16/25: Sidewalk and Intermittent Street Closure – Campus Way and Pioneer Place 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Due to contractor work being performed on the Elms on the area of Campus Way and Pioneer Place the sidewalk areas marked in red (see map) will be closed for access and the street will be intermittently closed to be able to drop limbs beginning Monday, December 14 thru Tuesday December 16, 2025 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. This does not affect the ADA path of travel.

12/15-12/16/25: Sidewalk and Intermittent Street Closure on Campus Way at SW Memorial Place 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Due to contractor work being performed on the Elms on the corner of Campus Way and SW Memorial Place the sidewalk areas marked in red (see map) will be closed for access and the street will be intermittently closed to be able to drop limbs beginning Monday, December 14 thru Tuesday December 16, 2025 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

12/13 – 1/4: SW Jefferson Way Closed Between SW 26th & SW 30th St.

As part of the steam line project happening near Sackett Hall, SW Jefferson Way will be closed in both directions between SW 26th and SW 30th St. starting Saturday, December 13 – Sunday, January 4. Local access will be allowed from 30th St. for parking at Sackett Hall and from SW 26th St. for parking at the Asian and Pacific Cultural Center.

Pedestrians on SW Jefferson Way will be detoured at Sackett Hall and Austin Hall. The pedestrian detour route will be marked with signage and will utilize sidewalks on SW Sackett Place, Intramural Lane and SW Weatherford Place.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work zone.

12/15 – 1/8: Winter Break Road Closures on Campus

Three significant road closures will be impacting traffic on campus over the OSU winter break (Dec. 15 – Jan. 8). Please see schedule and map below.

  • Full road closure on Jefferson Way at Sackett Place (12/15 – 1/8) – vehicles and pedestrians will be detoured.
  • Full road closure on SW 26th St., Campus Way to Monroe Ave. (12/15 – 12/18) – vehicles and pedestrians will be detoured.
  • Full road closure on SW 26th St., Washington Way to Intramural Lane (12/16 – 12/17) – vehicles and pedestrians will be detoured.

Please note: SW 26th St. will be closed in two different locations on 12/16 and 12/17. Please plan travel routes accordingly.

Smaller impact projects will also be ongoing over the next several weeks. Campus Notifications will send further details on each closure as information becomes available.

12/8 – 12/12: Sidewalk Closed at Jefferson Way & Sackett Place

Due to ongoing steam line work near Sackett Hall, the sidewalk at the intersection of SW Jefferson Way and Sackett Place will be closed (north side of Jefferson Way). The south sidewalk on Jefferson Way will remain open for pedestrians.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work zone.

12/4/25: Sidewalk Closure West Side of Strand Agriculture Building 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Due to contractor work being performed in the area outside Strand Agriculture Building the area in the yellow dotted line area will be impacted by construction work and the sidewalks will be partially closed for access (see map) Thursday, December 4, 2025 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
