UPDATED: Pedestrian Access on Washington Way & 26th St. During Closure: 8/28 – 9/1

This is an update to a previous notification.

This update is to clarify pedestrian access on SW Washington Way and SW 26th St. during the closure scheduled for Monday, August 28 through Friday, September 1.

The south and west crosswalks at the intersection of SW 26th St. and SW Washington Way will remain open during this closure. The crosswalk on 26th St. at the OSU Beaver Store will also remain open.

A section of the east sidewalk on 26th St., near Dixon Recreation Center, will be closed. Pedestrians may use the west sidewalk, across from Dixon, to detour around the work site. The crosswalk on 26th St., at the entrance to Dixon, will also remain open.

The map shows a pedestrian access route along the south and west sides of the intersection at SW 26th St. and SW Washington Way. The route extends north along the west sidewalk and across 26th St. at the crosswalk in front of Dixon Recreation Center. A section of the east sidewalk on 26th St., just south of Dixon, is marked as closed.

8/28 – 9/1: Road Closures on Washington Way & 26th St

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, SW Washington Way between SW 26th & SW 30th Streets will be closed from Monday, August 28 – Friday, September 1. In addition, SW 26th St. will be closed between SW Ralph Miller Lane and SW Intramural Lane.

Pedestrian sidewalk access will be maintained on the west side of 26th St.

The map shows a road closure on SW Washington Way, between SW 26th and SW 30th Streets and a road closure on SW 26th Street, between SW Ralph Miller Lane and SW Intramural Lane. Washington Way is also marked as closed between SW 17th and SW 26th Streets.
