The steam will be shut down in Ag. Life Sciences Building November 3, 2020 3:00 am – 7:00 am to replace a steam valve. This will affect heating, autoclaves, radiators and hot water in the building.

As part of the Magruder Hall Renovation and Addition, chiller 4 at Magruder Hall is scheduled to be shut down for wiring work (view map). The shutdown is scheduled to start on Thursday, Nov. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. The chiller will be off for a total of three days. The main panel will be turned off and a planned electrical shutdown for the building will occur for approximately two hours on Saturday, Nov. 7.

A water shutdown for the Western Building is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, from 9 a.m. 12 p.m. There will be not water to the building during this time.

As part of the Nash Hall Elevator Project, a crane pick will be set up outside of Nash Hall (view map). This will require caution in the surrounding area and the contractor will provide caution tape around critical areas. Work is scheduled to occur on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020.

All steam services will be shutdown to these buildings beginning Sunday, November 1st until the afternoon of Wednesday, November 4th. This critical shutdown is necessary to repair a leaking steam line in the vault behind Johnson Hall and to replace failed pumps. As part of the Research Way Lab Building Renovation Project, a water source heat pump above the ceiling at lobby 2000 will be replaced. Work is scheduled to begin on Friday Oct. 23, 2020 through Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020. Work will take place on the second floor of the building.

For work related to the Buxton Hall roof replacement, there will be a crane at Buxton Hall offloading material from the roof. Both lanes of SW Jefferson Way will be closed at the corner of SW Weatherford Place. The south sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrian traffic at this location. SW Weatherford Place between SW Jefferson Way and SW Intramural Lane will also be closed. The closure is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
