11/26-12/1/25: Sidewalk and North Garage Door Closure at AA Red Emerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory

Due to boring a new water line in the area the gravel path on the north side of AA Red Emerson Advanced Wood Products Laboratory the yellow marked area will be closed for access (see map)  beginning Wednesday, November 26- Monday, December 1, 2025. On Monday December 1, 2025 the boring contractor will be pulling the line along the yellow dotted line (see map) which will block pedestrian and ADA access to the north side of AA Red Emmerson Lab. Pedestrian and ADA access will be available from Washington Way. Accommodation available upon request.

11/3/25- Until further notice: Scheduled- Sidewalk Closure South 30th sidewalk, close to Washington way

Effective Date(s): Monday November 3, 2025 – until further notice

 Due to dangerous steam temperatures venting from vaults the sidewalks on South 30th, close to Washington way will be closed for access (see map) beginning Monday, November 3, 2025.

10/27-11/5/25: Sidewalk Closure at Moreland Arboretum

A contractor will be performing excavation, grading and irrigation work in the Moreland Arboretum area and the sidewalks in between the red marks will be closed for access (see map) beginning Monday, October 27- Wednesday November 5, 2025. ADA access will be provided as needed along the yellow line. The walk will either be signed for ADA access or an isle will be marked out and left open.

REMINDER: Full Road Closure SW 26th St. Near Dixon Rec Center

As part of renovation work happening at Dixon Recreation Center, a section of SW 26th St. will be fully closed in both directions between SW Washington Way and SW Intramural Lane. The closure will be effect on Wednesday, October 8 from 6:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. The west entrance at Dixon Rec Center will be closed from 9 – 11 A.M. A flagger will be present to help direct pedestrians around the work zone.

Beaver Bus and Corvallis Transit routes may be impacted. Please check with transit providers for route updates.

The east sidewalk on SW 26th St. will be closed in this area. The west sidewalk will remain open. A section of parking spaces and the bike shelter in front of Dixon Rec Center will be closed.

10/6 – 10/9: Fairbanks Hall West Entrance & Sidewalk Closure

As part of renovation work happening at Fairbanks Hall, the west entrance and surrounding sidewalk area will be closed starting Monday, October 6 – Thursday, October 9. The closure will be in effect from 7:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. each day.

9/26 – 2/1: Hovland Hall South Entrance Closed

Due to renovation work happening at Hovland Hall, the south entrance on the west side of the building will be closed starting on Friday, September 26 through Sunday, February 1. The sidewalk immediately adjacent to the entrance will also be closed. The north, west and southeast entries will remain open.

9/29 – 10/10: Sidewalk Closed NW of Dixon Rec Center

Due to renovation work happening at Dixon Recreation Center, a section of the sidewalk on the north-west corner of the building will be closed starting Monday, September 29 – Friday, October 10. ADA access to Langton Hall will be available via alternate walkways between Moreland Hall and Langton Hall.

Steam Line Work Between Austin and Sackett Starts 9/29

Construction work to replace a steam line between Austin Hall and Sackett Hall will begin on Monday, September 29 and continue through February 2026. The street and sidewalks will be closed in this area.

Building occupants and those in the surrounding area may notice noise, debris, equipment and other construction activity.
