7/2024: Campus Wide Generator Testing
Facilities Services will be performing annual load bank testing for the below listed building emergency/ stand-by generators. Each test will take approximately 3 hours. There may be excessive noise and possible exhaust fume odors associated with testing. Each generator will be refueled after testing.

6/13: Richardson Hall Crane Activity
As part of the Richardson Hall Controls project, a crane will be working in the Forest Science Lab parking lot on Thursday, June 13 from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. Ten parking spaces will be closed during this time frame. The west entrance of Richardson Hall will be closed intermittently while the crane is operating.
Other possible impacts include noise near the worksite.

5/2-5/3: Richardson Hall Partial Parking Lot Closure
As part of the Richardson Hall Chiller & Controls Replacement project, a section of the Richardson Hall parking lot will be closed from Thursday, May 2 through Friday, May 3. The closed section will be located at the north end of the parking lot, directly east of Richardson Hall. The closure is necessary to allow for the installation of temporary, trailer-mounted chillers.
Other possible impacts include noise near the worksite.

4/26-4/27: Richardson Hall building closure due to power shutdown
As part of the Building Controls and Mechanical Renewal project, power will be shut down to Richardson Hall building-wide so that building controls can be replaced starting Friday, April 26 at 5:00pm, ending Saturday, April 27 at 8:00 am. All equipment on emergency power will be energized through the shutdown and lab spaces will maintain minimal ventilation.
What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to Friday, April 26 at 5:00pm. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well. Also, please ensure that all fume hoods are closed before leaving labs.

3/21/24: Richardson Hall Air Handler Shutdown
The air handler in Richardson Hall will be shut down for maintenance March 21, 7:00 am – April 1, 2024 5:00 pm for replacement of coils and sealing the floor and pipes in air handler to prevent leaks. This will affect heat and cooling and building wide and cause reduced airflow and to labs during this time.

3/27/24: Loading Dock Closure- Richardson Hall March 27, 2024 6:00 am – 12:00 pm
On Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 from 6:00 am – 12:00 pm, the loading dock at Richardson Hall will be closed to accommodate the crane for maintenance for work on Richardson Hall roof.

12/17/23: Notice: Steam Shutdown Richardson Hall 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m
All steam services will be shut down to Richardson Hall, Sunday December 17, 2023, from 7 a.m. -4:30 p.m. while work is being performed on the main steam line. The building may experience temperature fluctuations and hot water may be unavailable during this time.

9/26-9/29: Parking Space Closures in the Richardson & Dryden Parking Lots
As part of the 2023 Parking Maintenance project, multiple parking spaces in the Richardson and Dryden parking lots will be closed from Tuesday, September 26 through Friday, September 29 to allow for landscaping work. The parking lots will remain open during this project. Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the worksite.

Extended through 9/18: Richardson & Dryden Hall parking lot closed for improvements
This is an update to a previous notification.
As part of the 2023 Parking Lot Improvement Program, the parking lot south of Richardson Hall and west of Dryden Hall (parking lot # 3341) will be closed for improvements through Monday, September 18. This closure includes access drives off SW 30th Street and SW Washington Way. These improvements will, at times, cause noise and dust.
