As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, the SW 16th St. entrance to the parking lot directly west of the Pride Center (SW 17th St./SW A Ave.) will be closed on Feb. 10th from 8AM – 11AM. All other entrances to the parking lot will remain open. Please see map for alternate routes.

As part of the Whyte Track & Softball Scoreboard project, three streetlights on the north side of the Whyte Track and Softball parking lot will be removed to allow for sidewalk construction and site work. New lights will be installed later this spring. Other possible impacts include noise and dust near the construction site.

As part of the Community Hall Slope project, the walkway located on the south side of the Pharmacy Building will be closed from 2/8 -2/10/23 for handrail installation. The ADA parking spots in the south Pharmacy/Furman parking lot will also be closed during this time. ADA access to buildings in the area will be maintained. Minor noise impacts are also possible.

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation project, a planned power outage will impact multiple buildings in the area. The outage is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1st, from 12:00AM – 3:00AM.

The following buildings will be without power from 12:00 AM – 3:00AM on Wednesday, February 1st:

  • Withycombe Hall
  • Nash Hall
  • Gilmore Hall
  • Ballard Extension
  • Women’s Building

What do you need to do to prepare for this outage? Please make sure that all computers, printers, copiers and other electronic devices are turned off prior to February 1st, 2023. If you have an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), also known as a battery back-up, please be sure to turn it off as well.

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, SW May Avenue between Adams Hall and the Pride Center will be closed on Monday, January 30th from 8:00AM – 1:00PM for tree removal. This closure will impact the 15th St. entrance to the parking lot located on the corner of SW 17th St. and SW A Ave. However, all other entrances to the parking lot will remain open. As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, Washington Way between 17th & 26th streets will be closed to vehicle traffic to allow for storm drain installation. Pedestrian access will be maintained along the walkway on the south side of Washington Way.
