Convergint will be conducting annual fire alarm & sprinkler testing. Testing will take place in the buildings listed below. The testing will be brief and include both sounding of alarms and strobes. As part of the testing building occupants may notice occasional beeping coming from the fire panel and horns and strobe lights activating throughout the building. Signage will be posted on exterior doors while testing is being conducted.

The water will be shut off in Magruder Hall July 13, 2025 from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm for the repair of a main line water leak. This will affect water building wide.

EH&S has asked us to remind building occupants thatwater will not be available to emergency eyewash/shower units, and occupants should discontinue all hazardous substance use (chemicals, unsealed radioisotopes, and biohazardous materials) for the duration of the shutdown

As part of the Corvallis Campus Housing and Dining Vision project, three B2 parking lots located between Bloss Hall, the LaSells Stewart Center and the CH2M Hill Alumni Center will be permanently closed starting on Monday, July 14. The closure area includes the roadway and sidewalks on SW Stadium Ave. between SW Western Blvd. and Bloss Hall.

This closure is needed to accommodate construction of a new residence hall. Please see the project webpage for details. Construction will continue on this project through summer 2027. SW Stadium Ave. will be reopened to allow access to the OSU parking garage from SW Western Blvd. for game days and other preplanned events.

The following parking lots will be closed:

  • 3259 – LaSells Stewart Center East Lot
  • 3270 – Bloss Hall South Lot
  • 3273 – Bloss Hall West Lot

The fire lane located behind the PRAx building, between PRAx and the Heating Plant, will be closed on Friday, July 11 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to crane activity. The sidewalks bordering the fire lane will also be closed.

This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis. Work is expected to continue through September 2025. Planned projects for the week of July 7 – 11

  • Sidewalk ADA ramp work will continue at the following locations:
    • SW 35th St. and Western Blvd.
    • Western Blvd. and Stadium Ave.
    • Various locations on Western Blvd. between SW 26th St. and SW 15th St.

Traffic & travel impacts

  • Both SW 35th St. and Western Blvd. will remain open to vehicle traffic.
    • Lane shifts/closures will be in place to create work zones.
    • Lane width will be reduced on SW 35th St. south of Western Blvd.
      • Please use caution when traveling through this area.
  • Changes to city bus stops will be in effect.
  • The intersection at SW 26th St. and Western Blvd. will be controlled by flaggers at times.
  • Bicyclists will be directed to ride with traffic through marked work zones.
  • Sidewalks may be unavailable at various times in these areas and pedestrians will be directed to detour.

Due to contractor work being performed in the Memorial Union Quad the area in the yellow dotted line area will be impacted by construction work. The green dotted marked sidewalk will be closed for access (see map) beginning Monday, July 7 – Thursday, July 31, 2025. Part of the brick mall will be closed off but access will remain. Access will only be blocked off while contractors are on site working.
