As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, flaggers will be controlling traffic in all directions at the intersection of SW 26th St. and SW Washington Way starting Monday, November 25 through Friday, December 6.
A work zone and sidewalk closure area will be in place at the southeast corner of 26th St. and Washington Way.
The east sidewalk on 26th St. will be closed starting just south of Washington Way near Dutch Bros. The south sidewalk/multi-use path on Washington Way will be closed between Stadium Ave./OSU Parking Garage and 26th St.
Access to the OSU Beaver Store and Dutch Bros will be maintained from 26th St.
Pedestrian detours on 26th St.
- Traveling north: Pedestrians traveling on the east sidewalk will be directed to cross 26th St. at Ralph Miller Lane and proceed north along the west sidewalk.
- Traveling south: Pedestrians may use the west sidewalk as a detour around the work zone.
Pedestrian detours on Washington Way
- Traveling west: Pedestrians traveling on the south sidewalk/multi-use path will be directed to cross Washington Way at the pedestrian crossing located at the Dixon Rec Center driveway.
- Traveling east: Pedestrians may use the north sidewalk as a detour around the work zone.
Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work area.
