Due to ongoing steam line work near Sackett Hall, the sidewalk at the intersection of SW Jefferson Way and Sackett Place will be closed (north side of Jefferson Way) starting Monday, January 5 through Monday, January 12. The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.

As part of the steam line project happening near Sackett Hall, SW Jefferson Way will be closed in both directions between SW 26th and SW 30th St. starting Saturday, December 13 – Sunday, January 4. Local access will be allowed from 30th St. for parking at Sackett Hall and from SW 26th St. for parking at the Asian and Pacific Cultural Center.
Pedestrians on SW Jefferson Way will be detoured at Sackett Hall and Austin Hall. The pedestrian detour route will be marked with signage and will utilize sidewalks on SW Sackett Place, Intramural Lane and SW Weatherford Place.

As part of the Hinsdale Lab Addition project, the parking lot on the east side of the Hinsdale Wave Research Lab will be closed along with the westbound lane on SW Jefferson Way. This closure will be in effect starting on Monday, January 27 through Friday, February 14. The south sidewalk on Jefferson Way will also be closed in this area. Pedestrians may use the north sidewalk as a detour.
Flaggers will be present to direct traffic and assist pedestrians.
The east entrance of Hinsdale Wave Research Lab will be closed. The north entrance will remain open.
