As part of the LaSells Stewart Center Mechanical & Roof Renewal Project, a section of SW Stadium Ave. located directly behind LaSells Stewart Center and just south of Bloss Hall will be closed to allow for crane activity on Tuesday, July 11 from 7:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. The B2 parking lot east of the LaSells Stewart Center will also be closed. The entrance to SW Stadium Ave. from SW Western Blvd. will be closed. Both the east and west sidewalks on Stadium Ave. directly behind the LaSells Stewart Center will be closed. A vehicle detour will be available from Western Blvd. along the east and north side of the LaSells Stewart Center East parking lot.

As part of the Kerr South Parking Lot project, the west sidewalk on SW 15th St. will be closed between SW Washington Avenue and SW Jefferson Way on Friday, July 7 & Monday, July 10. Pedestrians may cross 15th St. at the intersections with Washington Ave. or Jefferson Way and use the east sidewalk.

As part of the Student Legacy Park Resurfacing project, a pick-up truck and trailer will temporarily block the northbound lane on SW Benton Place, directly in front of the McAlexander Fieldhouse main entrance, on Friday, July 7 for various short intervals throughout the day. The truck will be picking up materials from McAlexander Fieldhouse and each pick-up will take approximately 30 minutes for loading. No parking impacts are expected. The south sidewalk along Benton Place and the crosswalk in front of McAlexander Fieldhouse will remain open for pedestrians. The southbound lane will remain open for vehicles.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the chilled water cooling system will be temporarily shut down in Kelley Engineering Center and Johnson Hall on Thursday, July 6 from 5 A.M. to 1 P.M to allow for piping work. The chilled water system controls the air conditioning in the impacted buildings.

The buildings will experience higher than normal temperatures, but the server rooms will not be impacted by this shutdown. ADA access will be maintained during this project.

As part of the 2023 Street Safety Project, SW Campus Way between SW 14th St. and SW Pioneer Place will be closed on Thursday, July 6 from 7 A.M. to 1 P.M., except to allow traffic to exit eastbound from Pioneer Place. Workers in the area will be directing traffic, moving equipment and allowing drivers to exit from Pioneer Place as necessary. The westbound lane from 14th St to Pioneer Place will be closed to all traffic.  Vehicles needing access to Pioneer Place may detour around the work area via SW Jefferson Way and enter from the eastbound lane on Campus Way. Please see detour map for reference.

In addition, the dedicated parking spaces for the School of Civil and Construction Engineering will be closed for the duration of the project.

Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians. Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the construction site.

The National Forage Seed Center parking lot will be closed on Wednesday, July 5 & Thursday, July 6.

The Crop Science Building West parking lot will be closed from Wednesday, July 5 – Friday, July 7.
