As part of the ALS Controls & Mechanical Replacement project, the heating system in the Agricultural & Life Sciences Building with be shutdown for repairs on Monday, October 23 from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. The central air handlers will run early in the morning to preheat the building before the heating system is shutdown. Heat will not be available on a room by room basis during the shutdown.

As part of the Nash Hall Cooling Tower Replacement project, the Sackett Hall North parking lot (#3303) will be partially closed on Monday, October 23 to allow for crane activity. The closure will impact parking spaces on the east side of the lot, closest to Nash Hall. The south-west basement and south first floor entrances to Nash Hall will also be closed. The north-east entrance and the loading dock will remain open.

In addition, the walkway that runs along the west side of Nash Hall will also be closed. Pedestrians may detour around the area via walkways on the south, east and north sides of the building.

As part of the Whyte Track and Field Center Grandstands project, there will be a planned power outage impacting the Whyte Track and Field Center, Lorenz Soccer Field and the OSU Softball Complex facilities on Friday, October 20 from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M. This outage will impact all power, including lights and scoreboards.

Phase 1 will impact the area between the Seed Laboratory and the West Greenhouses. Phase 2 will impact the area just west of the Seed Laboratory.

Pedestrians approaching the area from the east or west may use the crosswalk located at the Seed Laboratory and the south sidewalk to detour around the work area.

As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, intersection work will occur along SW Washington Way at SW 17th, SW 26th and SW 30th Streets starting Monday, October 16 through Friday, October 20th. Please see the schedule below for details.

10/16 – 10/17: The intersection at 17th St. will be closed to vehicle traffic. Crosswalks and sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.

10/17 & 10/19: Work will occur at the 26th St. intersection, but the intersection will remain open for vehicles and pedestrians. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.

10/19 – 10/20: Work will occur at the 30th St. intersection, but the intersection will remain open for vehicles and pedestrians. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.

As part of the LaSells Stewart Center Mechanical & Roof Renewal project, there will be short, intermittent delays for vehicles traveling on SW 26th St. near The LaSells Stewart Center on Wednesday, October 11 from 7 A.M. to 12 P.M. A forklift will be unloading materials and crossing the path of travel for brief intervals. Both lanes of 26th Street will remain open during this activity. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic around the area. Drivers may be signaled to stop while the forklift is crossing 26th St., but the activity is not expected to create major delays.

In addition, the east sidewalk on 26th St. will be closed from Western Blvd. to The LaSells Stewart Center. The crosswalk at the entrance to The LaSells Stewart Center will also be closed during this activity. The west sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the steam system will be shut down in Kelley Engineering Center on Wednesday, October 11 from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. to allow for repairs and necessary modifications. The building will be without hot water during the shutdown and may experience temperature fluctuations. The 4th floor women’s restroom will also be closed during the shutdown.

The Student Legacy Park fields and tennis courts have reopened, but other areas within the park will remain closed through October 12.

The parking areas and sidewalk on SW Washington Way will remain closed through October 12 along with the basketball courts.

While the entry points to the park along Washington Way will remain closed, access to the park will be available from SW 26th St., SW Intramural Lane and SW 30th St. ADA parking spaces will be available on 30th St., on 26th St. in front of Dixon Recreation Center and on Intramural Lane.
