11/28: SW Jefferson Way closure between SW Benton Place & SW Waldo Place

As part of the telecommunications project at Valley Library, SW Jefferson Way will be closed between SW Benton Place and SW Waldo Place for crane activity on Tuesday, November 28 from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. Traffic on SW Jefferson Way will be rerouted via SW Benton Place to SW Langton Place.

The north sidewalk on Jefferson Way will be closed between Benton Place and Langton Place. Pedestrians may detour around the area using the south sidewalk. Other possible impacts include noise near the worksite.

The map shows a road and sidewalk closure on SW Jefferson Way between SW Benton Place and SW Langton Place. The north sidewalk is marked as closed.

11/22: Sidewalk Closed On A Ave. Near Pride Center

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, a section of the north sidewalk on SW A Avenue, between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets, will be closed to allow for construction activity on Wednesday, November 22 from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

Pedestrians may cross A Avenue at either 15th or 16th Street and use the south sidewalk as a detour.

The map shows a sidewalk closure on the north side of SW A Avenue, between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets. A pedestrian detour is marked at the intersections with 15th and 16th Streets and along the south sidewalk.

11/21 & 11/22: Campus Wide Parking Lot Closures for Leaf Clean-up

Beginning next week, parking lots across campus will be temporarily closed for leaf clean-up. The closures will be divided between Tuesday, November 21 and Wednesday, November 22. Each lot will be reopened as the work is completed. Please contact Transportation Services at (541) 737-2583 if you require assistance with alternate parking arrangements.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the work areas.

Please refer to the lists below for specific parking lots and dates.

11/17 – Sidewalk Closed On A Ave. Near Pride Center

As part of the Pride Center Renovation project, a section of the north sidewalk on SW A Avenue, between SW 15th and SW 16th Streets, will be closed to allow for construction activity on Friday, November 17. Several parking spaces in front of the Pride Center will also be closed.

Pedestrians may cross A Avenue at either 15th or 16th Street and use the south sidewalk as a detour.

11/16-11/17: Intermittent Delays on SW 15th St. Near Kerr Admin Building

As part of the Kerr South Parking Lot project, there will be intermittent delays on SW 15th St. due to construction activities on Thursday, November 16 and Friday, November 17. A single lane will be closed at a time, with traffic being allowed to pass through the opposite lane. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic. The impacted area will be between SW Washington Ave. and SW Adams Ave. near the Kerr Administration Building and Callahan Hall. Drivers should expect delays between 9 A.M. and 3 P.M. on both days.

A section of the sidewalk on the west side of 15th St., just north of the work area, is closed under a previous notification along with the crosswalk at SW Adams Ave. The east sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians. Other possible impacts include noise near the work site.

11/17-11/18: Steam Shutdown at Johnson Hall

As part of the Kelley District Utility Plant project, the steam system will be shut down in Johnson Hall on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18 to allow for steam piping repairs in the mechanical room. This shutdown will impact the entire building. The building will experience temperature fluctuations and hot water will be unavailable during the shutdown. The building will be monitored while the steam system is offline for any potential issues.

11/13-11/30: West Sidewalk & Crosswalk Closed on 15th St. Near Kerr

As part of the Kerr South Parking Lot project, a section of the west sidewalk on SW 15th St. will be closed from Monday, November 13 through Thursday, November 30. The impacted section is located just east of the Kerr Administration Building, between SW Jefferson Way and SW Adams Ave.

The crosswalk at SW Adams Ave. will also be closed.

Pedestrians may detour around the area by using the crosswalk at SW Jefferson Way and the east sidewalk on SW 15th St.

The Kerr Administration Building’s east entrance will remain open, with ADA access available. The bus stop on the west side of SW 15th St. will remain open.

Other possible impacts include noise, dust and mud near the worksite.

11/10: Jefferson Way Closed Between Benton Pl. & 26th St.

As part of the Memorial Union Roof & Gutter project, SW Jefferson Way will be closed between SW Benton Pl. and SW 26th St. on Friday, November 10. The north sidewalk and the parking spaces directly in front of Memorial Union will be closed. The south sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.

The intersections at SW Waldo Pl. and SW Langton Pl. will be closed to vehicle traffic.
