For work related to the Community Hall Slope Project, a sidewalk closure on the north side of Jefferson Avenue from 15th Street to Benton Place is scheduled. The sidewalk closure is scheduled to start on Monday, April 4, 2022 through Sunday, May 15, 2022. Pedestrian detour signs will be in place throughout the closure.

As part of the Withycombe Hall Renovation Project, geotechnical drilling is scheduled to occur on the north and south sides of the west wing of Withycombe Hall starting on Monday, March 28, 2022 through Tuesday, March 29, 2022. This work will create noise and will require closures outside the building. On Monday, March 28, 2022, the southwest entrance of Withycombe will be closed, along with a portion of the sidewalk on 30th Street, and a portion of the westbound lane of Campus Way. On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, the northern entrance will be impacted, with partial obstruction at the entry and closure of the sidewalk along the building from 30th Street and the fire lane.

For work related to the Washington Way Improvement Project, tree removal work along SW Washington Way between SW 30th and SW 26th streets is scheduled to start on Monday, March 21, 2022 through Thursday, March 24, 2022. Expect intermittent roadway and sidewalk closures related to the tree removal work. Flaggers will be on site to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic when traffic interruptions occur. Along the north side of SW Washington Way, 27 red maple trees must be removed to accommodate the wider roadway and for the City of Corvallis water line replacement to occur. The 25-year-old trees will be replaced with new diverse trees and shrubs as part of the project’s landscape design. The Student Legacy Park South parking lot (lot #3293) will also be closed from Monday, March 21, 2022 through Thursday, March 24, 2022 for the tree removal work.
Additionally, a contractor will be on site to perform waterline potholing work at the intersection of SW 35th Street and SW Washington Way from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Flaggers will be onsite at the intersection and traffic impacts are expected to be minimal.

As part of the Fairbanks Hall Renovation Project, demolition of the old Fairbanks Annex existing concrete pad, along with the preparation and placement of new concrete for a new transformer pad by the Women’s Building, will occur onsite during the week of Spring Break from Monday, March 21, 2022 through Friday, March 25, 2022.
What to expect:
The sidewalk located between the Women’s Building and Fairbanks Hall will be temporarily closed starting Monday, March 21, 2022 through Friday, March 25, 2022.
There will be truck traffic in and out of the Fairbanks Hall worksite using the 35th Street/Jefferson Way route.
Expect noise as existing concrete is broken up, demolished and hauled away. The concrete breaking activities will start no earlier than 8 a.m.

As part of the Graf Hall Renovation Project, a vacuum truck will be working on the north side of Graf Hall from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022. This work will obstruct part of NW Monroe Avenue as well as a portion of the sidewalk. The contractor will be onsite to route traffic around the vacuum truck and direct pedestrians across NW Monroe Avenue while work is being performed.

The following updates are related to buildings and facilities located in the Community Hall Slope Project area. The west side of the Pharmacy Building will be open starting on Monday, February 7, 2022. The area between the Pharmacy Building, Joyce Collin Furman Hall and Gladys Valley will be closed to all access with the exception of the ADA entrance to the Pharmacy Building. The ADA entrance to Joyce Collin Furman Hall will be from the East. Due to the extent of the construction, the exact ADA pathway to the Pharmacy Building will vary. These access updates will be in place through Thursday, September 1, 2022.

For work related to the Completing Reser Stadium project, the South Reser parking lot entrance/exit to SW 26th Street will be temporarily moved to the south to allow for construction of the new wellness center. Both entrance and exit will be limited to one lane with a detour in place once in the parking lot. The existing crosswalk will be closed and a new temporary crosswalk will be added across SW 26th Street. Additional pedestrian crossings will be added in the parking lot to ensure safe crossing around the construction site. Five ADA spaces have been temporarily relocated to the adjacent drive aisle. The parking lot and crosswalk modifications are scheduled to start on Monday, February 14, 2022 through Sunday, January 1, 2023.

As part of the 20 & 21 West Greenhouse project, a portion of one lane of SW Campus Way will be closed to traffic between SW 30th and 35th Streets for concrete work at the adjacent sidewalk. The closure is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on Monday, January 24, 2022 and Tuesday, January 25, 2022. The below map shows the street lane closure area and ongoing pedestrian sidewalk detours. One lane of the road is needed to stage the concrete and pump trucks to pour a new retaining wall, sidewalk/ramp, and stairs. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic using the other lane in this area. The two-lane street will not be fully closed. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 will be used as a backup day if weather delays concrete pours.

As part of the 20 & 21 West Greenhouse project, a portion of sidewalk will be closed to pedestrian traffic between SW 30th and 35th streets on SW Campus Way for ADA access and sidewalk improvement work. The month-long closure is scheduled to start on Friday, January 7, 2022 through Sunday, February 7, 2022. Direct access to the 20 & 21 greenhouses can be made at their north side doors.

As part of the Graf Hall Renovation Project, a section of sidewalk on the north side of Graf Hall will be closed for excavation work for a new sidewalk and building entry. During the closure, pedestrian traffic will be routed to the north side of Monroe Avenue. The closure is scheduled to start on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 through Friday, January 14, 2022.
