Due to contractor work being performed in the Memorial Union Quad the area in the yellow dotted line area will be impacted by construction work. The green dotted marked sidewalk will be closed for access (see map) beginning Monday, July 7 – Thursday, July 31, 2025. Part of the brick mall will be closed off but access will remain. Access will only be blocked off while contractors are on site working.

The water line replacement project led by the city of Corvallis will continue June 30-July 3, 2025 on SW 35th St. and Western Blvd. No road or intersection closures are expected. Please see potential impacts below.

Pedestrians may be detoured at times to avoid work zones.

As part of construction activity at Weatherford Hall, the north street lane and north sidewalk on SW Intramural Lane will be closed starting on Monday, June 16 through Friday, September 12. A section of the sidewalk on the south side of Intramural Lane, bordering Student Legacy Park, will be closed for construction staging. The west sidewalk along SW 26th St. will also be closed. Construction fencing will be in place around Weatherford Hall while work continues over the summer.
Other possible impacts include noise near the work area.

This is an update on a water pipeline and road improvement project led by the city of Corvallis. Work is expected to continue through September 2025. Western Blvd. and SW 35th St. will remain open to traffic. Traffic will be limited to a single lane at times.
Other impacts
Bicyclists may be directed to the roadway if bike lane closures are needed.
Sidewalks may be unavailable at various times in these areas and pedestrians will be directed to detour.
As part of the Washington Way Improvement project, the Washington Way north sidewalk and cycle track will be closed between SW 30th and SW 35th St. starting Wednesday, May 21 through Friday, May 23.
Pedestrians and cyclists may use the multi-use path on the south side of Washington Way as a detour through this section.
There will also be intermittent traffic pattern changes in this section of Washington Way. Vehicle traffic will be controlled by flaggers as needed.

Tuesday, 5/20: a section of the north sidewalk and cycle track on Washington Way will be fully closed at the SE corner of Goss Stadium. The multi-use path on the south side of Washington Way will also be unavailable due to a separate closure. For this one-day sidewalk closure, pedestrians will detour around the work zone via the closed roadway. Signs will be in place to direct pedestrians.
Wednesday, 5/21 – Friday, June 6: the work zone will shift to the roadway. Washington Way will be fully closed in both directions between the Goss/Dixon driveway and SW Benton Place (SE corner of Goss Stadium). The intersection at 17th St. and Washington Way will be closed. Pedestrians should plan to use the north sidewalk, due to the closure of the south multi-use path.

As part of the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex project, SW 26th St. will be closed between NW Orchard Ave. and NW Monroe Ave. on Saturday, May 17 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The east sidewalk will be closed in this area. The west sidewalk will remain open.

As part of the Gilkey Hall Renovation project, the sidewalk between Gilkey Hall and Strand Hall will be closed on Thursday, May 1 to accommodate a boom lift working in the area. Pedestrians exiting Strand on the north side of the building may detour around the closure by traveling west on the walkway through People’s Park.
